Possible Dead Rising 2 Leaked Information

Dead Rising Screenshoot

We all know Dead Rising 2 is coming. Capcom has already stated that much. When it’s coming and for what systems are still a mystery, as is how the gameplay will evolve.

Our friends over at The Gaming Life got some inside info about the game, which may see a teaser trailer at this year’s E3″

“The environments for Dead Rising 2 look absolutely beautiful. They put a lot of effort and work into them. The zombies had not been added into the game yet, but the area looked even bigger then the original mall. The setting for it looks a lot like Las Vegas except somehow you are trapped only in a small section of the city with about 4 or 5 casinos, some restaurants, shopping areas and a lot of stores altogether. It looked very much like the strip in Las Vegas, but they didn’t show a whole lot to make an accurate portrayal. That an I know Resident Evil: Apocalypse is set there so I am unsure if they would go this route. All I can say for sure is that the setting was much bigger then the small town mall.”

Microsoft Keynote at CES 2007

So Bill Gates keynote just ended at CES. All I can say is… what a fucking waste of time. No announcement of HDMI enabled 360 or larger hard drive. They announced more about Live Anywhere, which we all already knew about. They just said UNO and Halo 2 will be playable as cross platform. Cool and all, but where’s the good shit? No fucking where. That’s where it is.

With the recent news from Sony today that they’ve sold 1 million PS3 units (Xbox 360 sold 600k in that same time frame), Microsoft better capitalize NOW on whatever they can, meaning HDMI and a larger hard drive. The longer they wait, the more they’re going to piss off their user base.

Reminder: Bill Gates’ CES Keynote Tonight

Just to remind anyone interested that Bill Gates’ CES Keynote Address is tonight at 6:30PM PST. It’s being streamed live here.

Expect announcements of the IPTV service, larger hard drive, and HDMI version of the Xbox 360. I wouldn’t be surprised if Bill talks about Halo 3 either (yeah, I went out on a limb on that one).
