Some free stuff content is coming to Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. That’s right, I said the magic word: FREE. Ubisoft will be releasing the Fan Pack containing three new maps, further ranks to obtain past Elite, some gameplay balancing tweaks, and a new tactical-based gameplay mode called High Stakes.
If you aren’t playing R6: Vegas 2 online, you’re definitely missing out. It’s one of the best online shooters out there, right along with CoD4, Bad Company, and Halo 3. It definitely sticks out from the crowd with it’s unique gameplay modes, especially my favorite: Terrorist Hunt.
The Fan Pack is scheduled to hit the Xbox 360 and PS3 in late July, so stay tuned as we get a firm release date from Ubisoft. Should be a good summer for gaming.
This is Vegas is looking better every time I check it out. There is a mechanic for dancing, gambling, fighting, driving and pretty much everything you need to do in Vegas. Even drinking is factored into the game and having to take a piss. You get to bartend and have people party with you, pretty interesting and very different from what I was expecting, thought this would be a straight GTA rip off but there are a lot of side objectives and mini games to change up the game and make it unique. Keep watching the video until the end to see the unlocked wet t-shirt contest mini game. Check it out.
Looks like the frag Dolls took our Halo 3 non-stop gaming session and altered it a bit. They played Rainbow Six Vegas 2 for 24 hours straight on the Xbox 360 to raise money for breast cancer research and to set a Guiness world record.
I like how the blonde talks about coming out of the restroom and looking for a tactical advantage about 14 hours into the event. Also her major complaint is “her bra hurting”. Some say that 3 girls playing game sis hot but something about 3 girls playing games for 24 hours straight with no shower breaks is a bit disturbing to me.
We are going to get Max into gear with that Halo 3 marathon! Good job to the Frag Dolls for setting the record and raising some money for this great cause. Congrats!! I didn’t know the Frag Dolls were British?!
So have you ever wondered what happens to the Rainbow group after all the terrorists get put away? Well here you have it, looks like a bit of heavy drinking combined with some gambling. I like the logic that a flashbang will get rid of crabs the same way it gets rid of tangos, confuse them and leave them ripe for the picking. Too bad it does not work as planned and he just gets a flashbang down his pants.
You asked for it, we deliver. Both myself and Al will be online TONIGHT around 8pm ET to play some Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 with you on Xbox 360.
Whoever is interested in playing, leave a message with your gamertag in the comments so we know who to look for online tomorrow night.
Also let us know what game modes you’re interested in playing. We’ll stick to what most people want to do. I know a few of you have mentioned Terrorist Hunt.
I have to tell you that there is an utter and constant lack of nudity in video games. Why can’t I play a mature rated game and see some gratuitous breasts walk by? The first major game to incorporate any kind of mature content was God of War with the mini game where you had sex and got extra Red orbs. GTA tried to have it incorporated into their games, but was reduced to calling a hooker over to your car and driving to a shaded area where the car just jumped up and down.
Since majority of the video game players of the world are over 18, putting in some sex or just random nudity shouldn’t be a problem. Don’t we have a fully robust ESRB system where games are clearly marked as Mature or Adult only? I can see people just coming out of the woodworks to complain that there is nudity in a game and that a child might be able to see some tits before his nuts have dropped, but again isn’t that why games are rated? What other purpose do the small letters in the corner of games boxes serve? Read More »

Ever wonder what Rainbow Six would be like if you took it away from Vegas? Well now you can see just what it would be like, sad really, the game just needs Vegas like a crackhead needs smack.
Funniest moment is when they drop the rope and then he drops his balls. Good job with the flashbang off the glass as well, I was laughing in my office.
Let me start off by saying that I would have had this Rainbow Six Vegas 2 review up sooner if I wasn’t playing so many hours of the game. RSV2 picks up where the first game left off and builds on a winning formula by polishing up gameplay elements and making the experience more full. RSV2 gives you both an engrossing off-line and on-line experience that it tries hard to mix together in order to keep gamers interested.
Presentation & Graphics: The graphics on RSV2 are great; explosions, flashbangs and blood spatter all look realistic. There are some funny physics at times when you shoot enemies and they go flying, but nothing that won’t just make you laugh. Level designs are great, providing cover where appropriate and really emphasizing the theme of the particular map. One of my favorite maps is the convention center where you can fight among the different convention booths and boxes, which makes it feel like a real convention. 9 of 10
It seems like we have another case of a third party developer not making things work right on the PS3. This time, Ubisoft dropped the ball with Rainbox Six: Vegas 2.
According to reports all over the intarwebs, Ubisoft’s new first person shooter has major online problems with the PS3. Users are either not able to connect at all, or they get so much lag the games are unplayable.
With most of Ubisoft’s development team off for the Easter holiday, gamers are going to have to wait a while to get this fixed. Whether it’s a server issue or the game needs to be patched, Ubisoft better get on this one quick to avoid a firestorm. Gamers aren’t the friendliest people when something isn’t perfect.
