The fine folks at Gearbox know how to make a trailer. The last Borderlands trailer blew me away. The latest, showcasing the characters you can choose to play in the game, follows suit. The hype for this game is hitting dangerous levels, but I really think Borderlands will deliver. Did I mention it ships on my birthday? That spells instant success.
Yes, this is the same live action trailer from last week. Why repost it? It is longer with more live action, can be watched in HD and full screen, it is awesome and I’m in charge.

Love or hate Halo, you cannot deny how awesome this trailer is.
I’m pretty good at listening to music. I can play the guitar pretty well and I’m a mean drummer in Rock Band. But when it comes to making beats, I don’t think I’m too highly qualified. Rockstar’s Beaterator for the PSP looks to bring that music mogul out of you while you create loops and tracks with virtual drum machines. While I think this is cool as hell, I don’t see myself ever creating anything that doesn’t sound like the yells from a monkey fucking a coconut.
Fuck. Yes. One of my favorite movies of all time and anyone who is even a little Irish owns Boondock Saints. I wore a Navy Issue Pea Coat for like 5 years after I saw this movie. A script and sequel has been rumored for almost a decade. Now, it has come to fruition. I give you the debut trailer for Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day.
Avatar is James Cameron’s latest film project and with it comes along a shit ton of hype. He has been playing this film for almost a decade and now that it is almost brought to life, much mystery still surrounds it. The plot of the movie and game goes as follows: in the future, soldiers can fight as other beings by linking their mind with the host. Example: Soldier needs to fight on an alien world. Soldier cannot breathe alien air. Military creates test tube aliens. Soldier and alien are linked by Avatar program. That is all we know. Here is the trailer.
I’ve seen a few trailers and gameplay demos for Battlefield Bad Company 2 and every time, I’m more and more impressed. The enhanced Frostbite engine is damn good for the Battlefield series. The squad-based multiplayer looks intense and could be the game to play next spring. With the game set for release on March 2, 2010, you’ve got a bit of time to wait for this one.
My biggest concern is the lack of humor in these videos. With the first Bad Company title, EA went balls to the wall to help you get to know the misfit characters in your company. I’m hoping that feeling is retained in the game’s single player campaign.
More Guitar Hero, this time will just Van Halen and bands like them. I doubt this will have anywhere near the level of impact as Guitar Hero Metallica, but I’m sure it’ll sell well. People love Guitar Hero and a large number of people love Van Halen. I don’t really fall into the latter category, but hey, who am I to judge.
Check out this new trailer for an upcoming XBLA, PSN game involving, you guessed it, Ninjas. You can plainly see we have a vested interest in game of this nature. There is no gameplay, but by the quality of the trailer, this may be something to keep your eyes on come September. I kind of want some apple sauce now.
Aliens vs Predator is much like cowbell. We have to have more of it. The recent movies were just alright and there really has not been a good AvP game in a long, long time. This looks like it could change all of that. My only hope is that the characters will be balanced. Space Marines stand zero chance against either hunter. I hope that they have some powerful weapons or it is going to over real quick for anyone playing as a Marine.
