I’m sort-of confused how this one is going to play out. Anyway, the smash hit show The Office will be a seeing a video game version this fall.

MumboJumbo, a premium casual games developer, will be bringing the TV show’s antics this fall to the PC, PSP, and Nintendo DS.

From the press release:

“MumboJumbo is an innovator in the casual games space, and developing a game with them that combines the quirky characters and humor of the show with a proven, addictive game mechanic we think will be welcomed by fans and casual game players alike.”

“We [MumboJumbo] look forward to working closely with their team to ensure that the thematic elements of ‘The Office’ are closely approximated in the development of the video game.”

No official word of how the gameplay elements will work yet. I’m not really sure I want to pay to play a game where I have to sell paper. We’ll see how it turns out.
