It seems like the new Street Fighter movie might not be casting the worst actors on the planet this time around. The movie will focus on Chun Li, who will be the protagonist in the film and we will see her characters rise to, well, fame I guess. Her master, Gen, will be played by Robin Shou, the same actor who played Liu Kang in the MK movies as well as sidekick in Beverly Hills Ninja. Could this be a miserable movie? Maybe. If they keep using some decent cast, it might be worth watching. On cable.

Looks like the new Incredible Hulk game will use the ral actor voices from the upcoming movie, which is nice. Impressive to see that Sega is going big budget on their movie games, first Iron Man gets good voice acting and now Hulk. Also note worthy is the fact that these games are scheduled to release at the same time as the movies instead of releasing early and cashing in on hype. I smell decent video games for these two titles.

As you know, we get press releases from developers all the time and its great because we know they are true. Sometimes, we wonder if they are putting peyote in the coffee.
There WILL be a new live action SF movie coming out in 2009. This is already in motion. In case you have not seen the 1991 debacle, click here. I wrote all about it. Another great video game franchise is hitting the big screen. The first question to all of us is, “How bad is this going to suck?” The role of Max Payne will be played by none other than Mark Wahlberg of Dirk Diggler fame. The filming should conclude around early May. Does anyone think this is going to be even halfway decent?

Last night I was watching TV and came across a movie I have not seen in well over a decade, Street Fighter. When it came out in 1993, I was only 12 and thought this movie kicked serious ass. Boy, was I an asshole. Watching this again through the eyes of a grown ass man, I realized how inherently bad this flick was. I understand the movie was supposed to be campy and include the likes of the video game characters. Fine. Yet there are some absurd liberties the writers of the movie take. I have decided to write a little tidbit about each character and some of the lines they say or things that just happen for no reason. Read on, its well worth it.
