Rockstar today unleashed the newest trailer for The Ballad of Gay Tony, the upcoming second expansion for Grand Theft Auto IV. Having never finished the game or played the first expansion, I highly doubt I’ll be picking this one up (either the disc based Episodes from Liberty City or the DLC for Gay Tony). While it does look damn cool, I just don’t see myself having the time to set aside to get back to Liberty City.
As if you didn’t expect this, GTA IV: The Lost and Damned set a new record for downloadable content on Xbox Live. The expansion pack “eclipsed first-day revenue” for every other piece of DLC out there.
Just how many copies did it sell or how much did it make? Microsoft and Rockstar aren’t saying. Is it worth their $50 million investment? Only time will tell.
How many of you out there actually picked this one up?
Gamers were faced with a dilemma when GTA IV hit the shelves last June and it was not the dilemma that we are used to. The quandary raised was not whether to buy the game, but what system to buy it for. We all grew up on playing GTA on the PS2 because Xbox did not get the games until months if not years later. Now, the once Sony timed exclusive was going multi-platform from the start. Furthermore, throw in the fact that Microsoft bought the rights to any and all DLC for the blockbuster. Was that $50 million gamble worth it? Is The Lost and Damned worth the 20 bucks? Absolutely.
When you woke up this morning, did you think to yourself, “I could really go for some pixelated man junk right now?” Well, in case you did, here is the cinematic of the Full Monty mission which is the very one that the now infamous video dong shot is revealed. The clip is over 4 minutes, so in case you want to fast forward right to the wang, it is at the end. Enjoy. Pervs.
The much anticipated DLC for GTA IV went live today at 3 AM EST for download. I am waiting to go home and play it, but “The Man” said I cannot have an Xbox 360 in my lab. Bullshit. Just in case you wanted to see the opening cinematic and are stuck at work, here you go. Expect a full review of the single player DLC this Friday.
When you were young, were you one of those kids that always wanted to dress up as a biker? Well, now it’s possible because Microsoft has released GTA IV The Lost and Damned inspired Avatar clothing available on Xbox Live. The list of biker gear includes leather jackets, leggings and even a skull ring, my personal favorite.
Hopefully Microsoft keeps giving us game inspired clothing for free. How cool would it be to equip your Avatar with a Ghostbusters inspired proton pack? We can always dream.
As always, the clothing is free to download and it’s marked with a gold star so you know it’s fresh. The list is long so check it out after the jump.
Rockstar released a new trailer today for GTA IV: The Lost and Damned. You get to see a good deal of biker raging action for the upcoming expansion. I’m excited that the game takes place a lot in Alderney (New Jersey), since I’d love to cause havoc around Scuba’s house. Maybe I can throw a pipe bomb through his window.
Check out who makes an appearance towards the end of the trailer. Good shit.
MS shelled out a shit ton of money, $50 million to be exact, for the exclusive rights to the GTA IV DLC episode “The Lost and the Damned”. To the bane of PS3 users everywhere, only Xbox 360 owners will be able to play it and they want to make sure EVERYONE who owns the game will have that chance. To facilitate that, Xbox Live will be FREE from Feb 17-22 to allow anyone with a gamertag to download the content. Normally, it would only be available to XBL Gold members. Am I full of shit? Hit the jump for the official press release.
You’ve met some of the other gang members, now take a look at the new main character in the upcoming GTA IV The Lost and Damned expansion, Johnny Klebitz. I like him already. Since Rockstar is promising close to 20 hours of gameplay, I think you’ll want to grab this one when it drops later this month.
Want to see what you’ll be getting into next month with The Lost and Damned? Here’s two videos getting you introduced to some of the bikers who will make up your gang. The first video below is about Billy Grey, the current president of The Lost biker gang. He doesn’t seem to take any shit. Good for him. The second video, after the jump, is for Malc. He rides a crotch rocket and fires off uzis. I like him already.
