Assassin’s Creed II – TGS 09: Assassination Interview

As if you needed anymore reasons to be excited for the sequel to the smash hit Assassin’s Creed II. If you remember correctly, critics were none to kind to the game in the advanced reviews, but as people played it more and more, it sort of grew on you. The story threw us for a huge twist, but now we know what to expect and expect some stealth action and swan diving coming your way Nov. 17.

Halo 3: Recon Details Explained

Now that all the smoke has cleared, it’s time to find out what Halo 3: Recon is really about. Here are direct words taken from Luke Smith and Brian Jerrard of Bungie on some of the more broader and pertinent details of the upcoming game.

  • “It will be a standalone disc sold in stores in boxes next Fall. It’s also going to include some multiplayer maps.”
  • “It is a first-person shooter still … It’s not a squad-based shooter.”
  • “As an ODST, compared to playing as in invulnerable Spartan, you are going to have to sort of pick and choose your encounters a little bit differently.”
  • “It is going to very much feel like Halo. Full feature parity.”

The next question is, how much will this cost? Probably around $40 is my guess. Full price would be a complete rip off and $20 would be unreasonable considering the time it takes to develop this. More news is coming as soon as we get it.

Prince of Persia – TGS08 Trailer

The Prince is back and gets reinvented for the next gen. Sands of Time was an amazing game, but the series went downhill after the debacle of PoP2. Now the game looks to be a must have and a possible platformer that we could see sequels too for years to come. One of the coolest trailers I have seen in a long time.

Bungie to Make Announcement During Tokyo Game Show 2008

TGS2008 is by far the most important gaming show in Asia and since E3 has become rife with disappointment, maybe the most important in the industry. Microsoft is making their keynote tomorrow called, A Canvas for the World, which will have to do with the inevitable update coming to Xbox Live Marketplace. Bungie has confirmed that they will also be making an announcement. Bungie has been silent until their recent “Keep it Clean” trailer that has everyone anticipating exactly what it means. No word on what the announcement will be, but here is hoping that its for a new game and that is actually happens.

TGS07: Metal Gear Online Trailer

This looks like it could surpass Warhawk as the ultimate online experience on the PS3. Too bad it doesn’t come as part of Metal Gear Solid 4. Hopefully it doesn’t cost $60 just for the online component.

TGS07: Afrika (PS3) Trailer

Maybe, just maybe, we’ll find out what the gameplay for Afrika is one day. If it’s just shooting pictures of animals on a safari, I’m not sure it’s going to hold up. It sure looks pretty though.

TGS07: PlayStation Home Delayed

PS3 Home Beta Logo

Kaz Hirai announced during Sony’s press event at TGS that Home has been delayed until Spring 2008.

Apparantly, the developers wanted to further fine tune everything before unleashing the online meeting place on the world. Hopefully Sony will further extend the Beta before the final release next year.

TGS07: New Devil May Cry 4 Screenshots

Devil May Cry 4 Screen 1

Holy dookers this game looks beautiful. I can’t wait to play this game when it ships next year.

I’m wondering how early in the game you get to square off against Dante for the first time?
