Guile has long been my favorite character with the Street Fighter series. Seeing how he’s evolved in SF4 is definitely fun and interesting. Thrown in is Abel, a newcomer to the series. I wonder who I’ll ultimately settle on with Street Fighter IV as my favorite character.
Capcom debuted the latest Street Fighter IV trailer Saturday night during the utter fucking debacle that was WEC Saturday Night Fights. The trailer is a mix of some classic SF2 gameplay melded with the stylistic art of the teaser and some cool new gameplay. Toss in some Faith No More and you’ve got some good shit.
I can’t say that this is any surprise, but the word on the street is now finally official. SF 4 will be on next gen consoles and the PC. The game is now making huge waves in the arcades over in Japan and we are only left to gawk at screenshots here in the States and Europe. No word has been said on the date, but most sources agree that it will be in Q4 2008. Could this be a Hadouken Christmas? We sure as hell hope so. Sonic Fucking Boom!

The newest SF character, El Fuerte, which is Spanish for “The Fort”, will be high flying into the game. He is a luchadore, or masked Mexican wrestler who strongly resembles Nacho Libre if he had gotten into great shape. Probably going to be a brawler, so don’t expect projectiles, but there will be plenty of dropkicks.
Capcom has dropped yet another new Street Fighter 4 character on us. This time, El Fuerte joins the mix.
Judging by his appearance and profile, it looks like he utilizes a pro wrestling style. In fact, his style is none other than Mexico’s famous Lucha Libre brand of wrestling! Will we see that style’s trademark aerial acrobatics at work? We can only hope and wait with baited breath…
These new characters are cool, but what about announcing Sagat, Balrog, Vega, and M. Bison? I’d like to see them as playable characters in the game.
