This story is one of a guy who snapped and decided to kill his parents. Not only did he shoot his mom in the back, he then waited at home for his dad to come home and kill him as well.
After Russell Bramlage shot his mother twice while she was sewing, he cried with the family dog and watched television until his father came home. Then, after helping his father look for his mother, he shot and killed his dad.
Three days later, he bought an Xbox with a check he had stolen from his parents before the murders
Russell claims that he snapped because his parents were bothering him to get a job and he was worried they would find out that he stole two checks from them. I call bullshit on his statements since he waited for his father and cried with the dog some time went by and then he cashed one of the checks to buy a video game console?
Bramlage, 23, pleaded guilty to two counts of murder Wednesday in Grant Circuit Court. His siblings endorsed a plea agreement that recommends their younger brother serve life in prison with the possibility of parole in 20 years.
Something tells me this guy needs to be locked up for a long time and the possibility of parole should be none existent. I mean the guy has to be nuts to get an original Xbox right?

I love video games as much as the next guy, shoot we here at Loot Ninja are trying to make a living out of it, but none of us would throw our day jobs away just to get a copy of a game a few days early. Would you?
Well looks like a couple of UPS workers have answered yes and tried to do the deed and snag an early copy of GTA IV. In a recent interview with a UPS worker we heard the following:
“When we have a [big name release], we communicate it to operations and security teams. We have security in place at the facilities, and we make sure they understand to keep an eye out for things to exit the building,” he explained. How did they find where games were stolen? “We had tips from people inside, and some of them were discovered at intermediate hubs… it’s easy to spot: flaps torn, some boxes are re-taped.” In most cases, the bust is as easy as finding the last person who scanned the box as full and interviewing them.

Recent grumblings around the internets have ascertained that some players are already enjoying the GTA IV experience on Xbox 360. Evidence of this can be seen in their gamerscore with completed GTA IV acheivements. The game has a hard release date of 4/29 and anyone who has a copy either stole it, bought a stolen one, or downloaded off of bittorrent.
MS has a Draconian(very strict, its a SAT word), policy on these sorts of things. Now, here is the kicker. No one is cheating. They just have an illegal copy of the game. Will there be justice. I think something will be done to show this will not be tolerated. If you are lucky enough to get a copy of a stolen game, at least don’t sign into Live or change the internal date.

Anyone who argues that the gaming community is not some sort of fraternal order needs to read this and rekanize! A few weeks ago, a gaming journalist had his house robbed and his Xbox 360 Halo Elite was one of the items taken. After trying to recover some of his things via police and pawn shop visits, he received messages on his Xbox Account, voice messages, of the kid who now has the console demanding payment.
Not exactly Danny Ocean here. So the game blogger puts his story out there and gives the thief’s XBL info as well as his screen name and so forth. The story made it to the front of Digg and the he was bombarded by thousands, yes thousands of gamers calling for his head. His name was revealed, though he is 16, so I can’t tell you. Turns out that he bought the stolen box and was trying to act tough before realizing that most people have some decency and are not going to make this kid the next Tyler Durden. His mother was contacted and criminal charges are pending. The lesson here: Don’t fuck with gamers. They have more friends than you. Friends with spare time. Friends who are way smarter than you. Trust me.
