You can chalk another achievement to the people over at LucasArts. SW: TFU had wowed many a fan with the gameplay trailers and promised total control over your surroundings with a truly original backstory. Now, many a gamer has downloaded the demo on the Xbox 360 and the PS3. 2.3 Million of them. Truly amazing. Now we have to see if the game is a force of its own. Double Pun FTW.
There seems to be no end in sight to the Star Wars Retrospective series. We are no treated to the 9th installment which covers Pilots and Pistols. We get a look back at the awesome Rogue Squadron and Rebel Assault. Pour some out for Porkins next time you get a chance.
Any fan of the Star Wars universe was hard as a diamond in an ice storm when we first got a glimpse of the trailer for TFU. After many jaw-dropping videos and demonstrations, we finally get a chance to play as Starkiller, Vader’s secret apprentice. The premise of the game is simple. You have every kind of force power at your disposal and you have to carry out missions for your master no matter what. The demo is a great look at what the game could be but I felt left short on their promise to deliver a huge demo experience.
Here is a little easter egg you can find in the demo for the SW: TFU. The demo is fun as hell and gives great insight to what they game is and could be. The demo was a lot shorter than I had anticipated and did not have the amount of content I would have liked. You’ll hear all of my insights on Monday with full impressions of the demo.
How many of these retros are there going to be? No complaints here because they are very well done but everytime I think its over they drop a new one on us. This installment tells us about the MMORPG of the Star Wars Universe. Grab your bowcaster and put on your Wookie pants, you have a Kessel run to make, in less than 12 parsecs no less. If you got this reference, you’re as big a nerd as we are.
One month away. So close until we can force choke a wookie or run a saber through an unsuspecting storm trooper. Here is the world exclusive trailer. Watch in awe and countdown until September 16th.
Even casual fans of SW:TFU are eagerly waiting the inevitable demo that is coming our way. We have been told its August, but an exact date has not been revealed. More importantly, the demo will have content that is not in the full version. Pretty awesome. This is great news because we won’t get some half-assed walkthrough or a random level only to end when the game gets good. NG2 anyone? There will be an ending to the demo that we all can enjoy. It will be on both XBL and PSN. Listen up for the exact date. Force lightning in a Wookie’s ass FTW.
What you don’t know what a Mighty Mugg is? Shame on you. They are super cute are 6” vinyl figures with a stylized cartoon appeal set in Marvel, Star Wars and Indiana Jones characters from Hasbro.
Here is an example of a Mighty Mugg Chewbacca.
And here is the Mighty Mugg Loot Ninja!
What do you guys think? I am planning on making a physical Loot Ninja Mighty Mugg by using the white blank pretty soon.
I thought they were done with these. Apparently, they have much more. Part VII incorporates how LucasArts is expanding the Star Wars universe, namely by KOTOR 1 and 2, arguably 2 of the best RPGs of last gen. Check it out. Bonus points if you know who Darth Nihilus is.
September cannot come soon enough. Starkiller, Vader’s secret apprentice is coming and we are waiting for the moment we can force choke a Wookie or throw a Stormtrooper in the cold, vacuum of space. Watch in awe and work on that saber throw
We're like Spaceballs... we're making Loot Ninja everything. Coming soon we'll have hats, shirts, hoodies, possibly banana hammocks if one Editor has his way...
Check out the shirt prototypes here and the hats here
