This is pretty imaginative, this user took the Transformers that we all know and love and ported them into Soul Calibur 4 complete with weapons and finishers. You might think that there is no way to get metal robots into Soul Calibur, but this guy proved everyone wrong. My favorites are Grimlock with the giant red sword, Wreckgar with his axe and shield and finally Scorponok form the Beast Wars series.
What do you get when you combine a lot of spare time and some custom create a character skills with Soul Caliber IV? Well you get Street Fighter characters in your Soul Caliber of course. Some one took the time to make Blanka, Chun Li, M. Bison and Cammy and I have to say they look pretty good. Who would you like to see created?
Well well. It’s finally here. About friggin’ time, I think.
Let me start off by saying that although this newest release in the Soul Caliber world doesn’t re-define the genre, it’s an amazing play and easily the best in the series. Jesus, this almost makes you forget that SCIII even existed. Almost.
Oh, and just because there has been so mush emphasis in past months I’ll get this out of the way as well: Darth Vader and Yoda are merely alright to play as. Yoda is short, neigh-impossible to grab and has some cool jumping attacks. Vader’s moves are unfortunately based off of the original trilogy - meaning that they’re slow and completely unimpressive (but powerful - wheee). Seriously, it’s like having a palsy victim on the roster. I don’t even like typing these words because I’ve been so jazzed about these characters coming to the series. And while things like well integrated force powers work for their presence, they really don’t fit in all that well. A couple plays through is all you need. Maybe when Vader and Yoda cross platforms there will be more reason to use them.
Starkiller, the Apprentice from the upcoming Force Unleashed is moderately badass (but still make you yawn, although certainly better than the others). He moves more as I envisioned Darth Vader would. Huh. Even the stages are a little boring. All in all, disappointing. So many fan boys are Mother-F**king their computer screens right now and I’m truly sorry that it has to be that way. E-mail the developer if you like. I’m sure they’d love to hear from you. This is NSFW so watch in the dark at home with no one around as some guy makes a sing along with the jubblies of the characters from Soul Caliber. This can either be stored in one of two buckets, funny or scary. I am voting on the scary bucket, what do you think? I am not even 100% sure what language is being sang, but it does ring in a melody of creepiness.
Everyone loves to compare things. From what I hear, the only true difference between the two games is Yoda or Vader. Some people claim that the PS3 controller is better suited for fighting games, a point I can’t disagree with. Check this out and you tell me which looks better.

Soul Caliber IV is turning into a fan-fest of characters. The latest rumor is that Kratos will be a playable character on the PS3 version of the game. Could actually be damn cool with his Blades.
This hasn’t been confirmed by Namco Bandai just yet, but I’d expect an announcement at E3. And if PS3 is getting it’s own exclusive character, what about the 360? Can we expect Master Chief or something like that? Only time will tell.
This quick gameplay vid gives us a taste of what we can expect when Soul Caliber IV comes our way July 29 in NA. Yoda will be exclusive to Xbox 360 and Darth Vader to the PS3. It would have been sweet to see them duke it out, but what can you do. Enjoy.
The only thing better than screenshots is a screenshots slideshow. The best weapons based fighting game is back and aims to please. Vader and Yoda, FTW. Check it out. Can’t wait for online play in this one.
So, I’ll start off first by saying that I cannot wait until 2008 because of this game alone. I’ve bee a junkie of this series since its debut in 1997. I love it. Perhaps too much. But anyways.
We're like Spaceballs... we're making Loot Ninja everything. Coming soon we'll have hats, shirts, hoodies, possibly banana hammocks if one Editor has his way...
