So you have an ipod and are tired of listening to just music, what do you do? Play Sonic of course! Looks like everyone’s favorite spikey blue haired hedgehog is now available on Apple Ipods. You can buy Sonic for $5 or even send him as a gift for those gamers you want to get a Christmas gift for.
I am hoping this starts a big push for more games to come to the Ipod format, but something tells me that this may be a flash in the pan, since there was no support given to an Iphone version of the game.

We brought you some Super Smash Bros. Brawl Sonic action, but here is a demo that was held that shows off some of the different stages and characters. All that can be said is the this game looks F%^&ing sexy! The Wii will sell like hot cakes just for this game alone, add in some decent online features and Nintendo has a Goliath here, nuff said!
Well we told you that Sonic wanted to step up and show off who the top hedghog was, now you can see him in action. I can’t lie Sonic looks pretty pimp in this video and gives Mario a good old fashioned ass whooping.
SEGA confirmed four unique Dream events in their new Mario & Sonic at the Olympics game, Dream Race, Dream Platforming, Dream Table Tennis and Dream Fencing.

A bit more news on the much anticipated Super Smash Bros. Brawl, it looks like the fuzzzy blue hedgehog, Sonic, we have grown to love over the years will make an appearance. I wonder what kind of moves he will get and if this means we can also expect possibly Tails and Knuckles? I think next character they should add in is everyone’s own Loot Ninja, what do you think?
From the official press release:

One of my main complaints with the Wii as a whole, aside from lack of titles and fear of the controls being just a 15 minute fad, is that the Mii’s which everyone spends a lot of time creating aren’t utilized as much as they should be. Looks like Nintendo heard our cries and is starting to incorporate them into future titles.
We already knew that Mii’s would show up as playable charcters in the new 2k sports title MLB Power Pros, but now after reading a buddies site from across the pond, we see that perhaps we could see some Mii action in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. Good for the Mii’s, I can’t wait to whoop some Sonic ass using my Hulk Hogan Mii!
After hearing of a lot of people bowing out of the lastest edition of E for All (looks at Sony and MS), it looks like Nintendo is looking to capitalize their monopoly at the E for All Expo now. If you happen to be in the in the Los Angeles area from October 18 to the 20th, you might want to stop by the Convention Center to check out the newest installment of Nintendo games, especially Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Mario Galaxy.
In addition, Nintendo will host a daily Super Smash Bros. Brawl tournament. Competitors get a free Wii-themed T-shirt, and a different T-shirt will be available each day of the show.
Although the lineup is subject to change, the complete list of games for Nintendo systems scheduled to appear at E for All include:
Wii
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Smash Bros. Brawl Read More »
During last night’s E3 announcments, Microsoft annouonced that the original Sonic the Hedgehog and Golden Axe would be available as of last night for download off of the Microsoft marketplace for 400 MS points. These two Xbox Live Arcade titles are part of the Sega Vintage Collection and are pretty fun and very worth it for $5. Sonic and Golden Axe are nice additions to the Xbox 360 Arcade lineup and if you haven’t had a chance to download them at least try out the free trials, you won’t be dissappointed. I wonder if as part of this new Sega Vintage Collection we wil see some other classics like VectorMan or any of the Phantasy Star games?
I came across this new trailer for Sega Splash: Golf and couldn’t help, but think that this reminds me a lot of other golf games i vae played… it is pretty much a direct rip off of Hot Shots and Super Swing Golf?! Except they added in Sonic as your caddie?? Shame on you Sega.
In a move that no one ever thought would happen, Mario and Sonic will be sharing the same screen. Nintendo and Sega are teaming up to make a game with characters from both franchises for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
The basis of the game is to compete is all events that will take place at the 2008 Olympics. I think Sonic has an unfair advantage in all the running competitions. Maybe a Koopa Troopa will break his leg, Nancy Kerrigan style.
On the Nintendo side, the one and only Shigeru Miyamoto will be making some large contributions to the game. Of bigger note, Sega will have their Sega Sports team working on the game, and not Team Sonic. Hopefully Team Sonic just gets fired. They’ve turned a great franchise into poo with their recent Sonic games. Let’s see if Sega Sports can turn that around, with Shiggy’s help.
The game will hit for the Wii and DS later this year.
We're like Spaceballs... we're making Loot Ninja everything. Coming soon we'll have hats, shirts, hoodies, possibly banana hammocks if one Editor has his way...
