With Guitar Hero Smash Hits coming June 16h, Activision dropped off the game’s debut trailer. Essentially, it’s a collection of all the coolest songs from previous GH games thrown into the World Tour engine. Granted, it’s going to be insanely cool to play Through the Fire and Flames on drums, but are we getting dangerously close to the point of saturation with the genre? Do we need to get multiple new Guitar Hero games every year? I think the rhythm game will start to fade out of popularity later this year.
