Review: Siren: Blood Curse (PS3)

Some games are meant to make you uneasy. Some games are meant to frighten you. Then, there is the Siren: Blood Curse. This game’s sole purpose is to scare the bejesus out of you. Siren: Blood Curse is the second in the series and has finally made its way to the PS3. Siren for the PS2 was considered by some to be too over the top, but Blood Curse is up there with the Silent Hill’s of the genre. Does Siren: Blood Curse deliver a chilling gaming experience? Yes, but it’s going to cost you more than money.

New Siren: Blood Curse Screenshots, Developer Q&A

Sony released a batch of new screenshots for their upcoming PSN episodic horror title, Siren: Blood Curse. To go along with the screens, they also posted a pretty in-depth Q&A with the game’s creator, Keiichiro Toyama.

They go into some pretty cool topics, including Toyama-san’s inspirations for the game, his thoughts on episodic content, and the evolution of the game since its PS2 days. Definitely worth a read. Go check it out.

Siren: Blood Curse – Tsubasa Inaba Interview

Siren: Blood Curse is coming this summer to the PSN. It’ll be the first episode in a series that is set to scare the pants off you. Literally, you will lose your pants. At least that’s what Schwinghammer hopes, because he likes life without pants.

Check out the interview with Tsubasa Inaba, the game’s Producer. No pricing has been set yet, but each episode will give you about 1-2 hours of gameplay with a total of 12 episodes scheduled. Sounds like a plan.

Siren: New Translation Japanese Debut Trailer

Did you ever play Siren on the PS2? A lot of you probably didn’t, but it was actually a good game.The Japanese know how to get in your head. With a bevy of all time great horror movies, the Japanese are masters at visualization and capturing imagination. Siren, the new PS3 game that everyone is talking about will be sure to make your shit your pants. Check out the debut trailer and just imagine how fierce this game is going to be. The game is shipping in Japan on July 24th. No North American announcements have been made as of yet, but I’d expect the game to ship to a PS3 near you later in the Fall.
