Call of Duty 5 is an amazing game despite the fact that it is still set in the played out genre of WWII. The game exceeded despite this obvious redunduncy. Now, CoD 4: MW2 is still six months away, we hope, and will be developed by Infnity Ward. Treyarch has earned the right to dev CoD 7 people say and have maybe tipped their hand to what era the game will be in:
A source we consider reliable has told TVGB that Activision is looking to licence music for “Call of Duty 7,” music that gives some serious hints as to the locations the game may take us. Mentioned were Vietnam War era tunes, as well as Cuban, African, and Soviet Union music. The source says Call of Duty: World at War’s senior producer Noah Heller is involved, so it looks like Treyarch is once again developing.
I would love a Vietnam era game. The weapons are still decent, M-16, M-60, M-79 and obviously the AK-47. No one really has much to say about the Korean War and it is too soon to do Gulf War, ask Konami. We will keep you updated.

Pack in games usually suck donkey balls or are older than hell. There have been some exceptions lately with the Uncharted bundle with the 160gb PS3 and the Resident Evil 5 bundle on the Xbox 360. But Microsoft could be turning up the heat by packing in both Halo 3 and Fable 2 with upcoming Elites.
Ars Technica was tipped off about this possibly upcoming pack, which is still rumor until we get confirmation from Microsoft (who never comments on rumors, we tried).
Could this be enough reason for those still on the fence about picking up a current-gen console to make the jump? It’s certainly possible. I have a feeling Microsoft is waiting to pull the trigger here until we see what Sony is doing in terms on a PS3 price drop.

More news coming out of Comic Con is that Gears of War 2 may have something planned for us soon. The campaign was a huge step in the right direction, but still left gamers wanting more from the story arcs that we have a hard time following. Here is what the gaming front network is reporting:
Gears of War 2 writier Joshua Ortega basically confirmed that single player DLC is on its way for Gears of War 2. When asked of single player DLC at NYCC 09 he said: “Keep watching. You won’t be disappointed.
Would I download single player DLC for Gears 2? Maybe. It all depends on how much and what kind of DLC it is. Episodic, I would be all for. If it just some re-imagined maps. probably not.
The word on the street is that the PSP 3000 will be able to be hooked up to the tv with component allowing 480p instead of using component and being stuck in the land of 480i. Furthermore, the same rumor suggests that you will be able to use your Dualshock 3 and obviously the Sixaxis instead of the sometimes clunky PSP controls. With the new screen they are planning and these possible additions, this might make the PSP 3000 as close to a must have as you can get for a handheld.
