There’s one thing I can’t stand about gaming: by the end of the year, if you’re not broke already, you’re sure as hell going to be. With a barrage of games raking in this Fall (get it? “raking”? nevermind), I thought I had already concluded my list of “games to get” only to be bitch-slapped with another title being released next month.
Everyone’s favorite teddy bear, and bird, return in the 360 exclusive Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts being released, officially, on November 11 in the US and November 14 in Europe. I would jump for joy, but the hole being dug in my pockets only portray a desolate future for me. Absolutely no one is going to be getting Christmas gifts this year. I guess I can pull off the “I bought it for me and you to play together” argument and hope that it still works.
Rare has also confirmed that a demo has been completed and in certification. Maybe I can build some shit a la Spore and create some nifty tank, or do random jumps to pretend that Banjo is Luke and Kazooie is Yoda being that Banjo is sporting the backpack that Luke used to train with in The Empire Strikes Back. Ha, and Rare thought I wouldn’t notice…

This weekend I went over to my local Best BUy on a quest to browse the newest releases and return some merchandise I had never opened that I got back some decent cash for, its like finding money in your house unopened DVDs. I saw an entire section of pre-orders ranging from Fable II, Fallout, Saints Row 2, Wii Music and the grand daddy of them all Gears of War 2. If you haven’t seen this weeks circular there is an offer for a free remote controlled Gears tank with your pre-order, which looks pretty cool and almost had me grab the pre-order on the spot, until I read the fine print. The tank is only available at time of launch, not before so you can play with your cool tank to help pass the time until Gears comes out. What is even worse is that you are not guaranteed one anyway with your pre-order, it is while supplies last! Shame on you Best Buy, you almost had me with this one! Always read the fine print.
*Date subject to change.
**Minimum 8 per store. No rainchecks. Limit 1 per customer.
***$5 deposit required.
****Remote control tank available for pick up with game on 11/7/08.

You have probably gone to a hotel where you see a PS1 controller or N64 controller dangling out of the television so you cna play some old games while on the road. Well looks like Marriott is teaming up with Nintendo to bring some Wii action to your hotel room. You can get a Wii Room in 6 locations and get packages that allow you unlimited play during your stay, of course at a premium rate.
Interesting that these Wiis will have 20 pre-loaded games in them, do I smell hard drive here? This is a cool idea to have new games in the rooms, but if you are a traveler on business chances are that you are not willing to pay more to play some games right before bed. This will be fantastic for those travelers with kids that want to keep them occupied.
Hit the jump to read the official press release and what 6 hotels have these packages.

No Mega Man is not going out on a date, he finally gets a street date for his newest release Mega Man 9 or as I like to call it Mega Man Nueve. Get your internet connection and console of choice ready because Mega Man is here for you to start downloading his newest adventure.
The wait is fianlly over: Mega Man 9 hits North America next week!
The game will be released for download on the September 22 for the Wii.
Playstation Network gets it September 25th, and XBLA will have it October 1!
These dates are for North America ONLY.
No pricing structure was mentioned just yet, but I will pay Capcom whatever they want for this game. Most likely grabbing this bad boy for my Xbox 360, which means I will have to wait a bit, but patience is a virtue.
