A supposed ex-employee of GameStop has decided to take their rage of the company and their tactics to the internet in a very well done parody of Zero Punctuation’s Yahtzee. He rambles on and makes quite a few good points in regards to the day to day trading of games and why GameStop is so gungho about forcing used crap on you. His best points are when he equates GameStop to a pawn shop and encourages gamers to use Gamefly, I have to agree on both points whole heartedly. What do you think?
Something about this Mario Sunshine commercial form the 90’s is just so tooth decayingly cute that you want to go out and punch someone. Take a gander and let me know if you don’t share my feelings. Perhaps it is the song or the Kool Aid smiles or the guy dressed up as Mario? At leas the game itself was good on the Gamecube.
Burnout Paradise is EA’s newest iteration of the old Burnout series and really moves away from the tried and true formula of Burnout to a more open world almost Need for Speed feel. Many loyal fans to the old Burnout games will quickly see the change in feel and game play and may be turned away from a solid driving game.
Presentation and Graphics: Burnout Paradise looks great, EA and Criterion really spent a long time perfecting the look of the cars and even more impressive are the wrecks. When you wreck your car in Burnout it opens up a cut scene so you can watch every bone crunching second of the crash and your mangled ride. The most annoying part of the wrecks is that you can’t turn this off so you are forced to watch these often, which gets a bit old fast. The other pet peeve I have about the look of this title is the lack of a driver in your car, so when you wreck your car and the doors fall off all you see is an empty car. 8 of 10 Read More »
In more Guitar Hero III related news the guitarist from Rage Against the Machine Tom Morello will apear in the latest installment as a boss. You get to play agianst Tom and try not to get your ass whooped, the ironic thing is that Tom stinks at Guitar Hero, “Whenever I play Guitar Hero my opponent always kicks my ass on my own riffs. It’s embarrassing.” I like the addition of bosses and different modes into the newest verson, maybe they can tone down hard a bit so I can get that going?
From the press release:
