If you don’t subscribe to Qore, this might be another reason. All subscribers will get access to the Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta. If you don’t have a one year subscription yet, you have until May 15th to get in on the action. Or, you could just pick up a copy of inFamous, which I recommend doing as well.
You all know by now that I enjoy Qore and think it’s worth the money. I may not be in the majority with that feeling, but that’s my take. Check it out if you want to see how Nathan Drake fares against other real players, check it out with the Qore subscription.

I like Qore a lot, even though many of you disagree. Microsoft must see the potential of the platform as they’ve recently trademarked the name “Astuto”.
Providing an on-line magazine and web site featuring information in the field of computer games, science fiction, games and entertainment; providing information on-line relating to computer games and computer enhancements for games; entertainment services, namely, providing an on-line computer game
From the sound of it, they’re looking to create an Xbox-centric version of Qore to distribute on the Xbox 360. I’m sure they’ll charge for the product (it is Microsoft). Who knows when any type of announcement will turn up from the folks in Redmond.

I’ve said it before, I actually enjoy Qore. Most of you out there see it as paying for videos and demos, but I see it as a nice interactive digital magazine and can see the value in the production. If you’ve been knocking it and haven’t tried it, today is your chance.
The December episode (#7 to be exact) will be free for everyone in today’s PlayStation Store update. This episode features some info and videos for Bionic Commando, Skate 2, and Flock, and other various goodies. Everyone can partake in the free Killzone 2 theme as well, while annual subscribers get a demo for Flock.
Give it a shot, it can’t hurt. Maybe you’ll all stop giving me shit for liking Qore after this free episode…

Most of you out there might look at me funny for saying that I enjoy Qore and think it’s worth the money. I bought the yearly subscription shortly after it was made available on the PlayStation Store. I don’t look at is paying for demos or other videos, it’s more of a digital magazine. I get it, it’s worth it to me. But here’s part two of things going wrong for me last night that resulted in something else broken.
The implementation of downloading new episodes for your annual subscription is one of the biggest clusterfucks I’ve seen in a while. Sony hasn’t done a good job of making things easy with the PlayStation Store downloads (required installs, extra prompts, etc.). Here’s another way they’ve botched things up.

In an email to PlayStation Underground users, Sony has revealed the contents of Qore Episode 4, which will go live on the PlayStation Store in two weeks. Here’s what you can expect:
- We go Big with Little Big Planet
- Audrey Heads to Montreal to Check out the New Prince of Persia
- We Get Down and Dirty with Motorstorm: Pacific Rift and Go Deep with Bioshock
- Exclusive to Ep 04 Customers and Annual Subscribers: Play the Motorstorm: Pacific Rift demo a month before anyone else and snag an awesome, Qore-exclusive, LBP theme
Good stuff. I’m excited to try out the new Motorstorm demo and see what all has changed from the PS3 launch title. I’m personally a fan of Qore and think it’s worth the cost, but I know a lot of you out there don’t agree. To each his own.

Sony sent out emails to members of the PlayStation Underground, as they normally do every week. This week’s email has some details about what we can expect in Qore Episode 2:
- Anatomy of a Game: The making of Resistance 2, Pt 1
- In-depth look at Silent Hill: Homecoming
- Featured Story: We Love Madden
- Exclusive Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm demo
Some decent stuff, but again, I expect more out of Qore. We’ll see how it’s all presented. I’m betting there will be more content than what we know about already.

Sony launched the first episode of Qore late last night on the PlayStation Network. If you’re not aware, Qore is a new “digital magazine” produced by Sony to be released monthly for $2.99. You can subscribe annually for $24.99, which will also net you a free copy of Calling All Cars (which is a good game if you haven’t picked it up already). I opted for the annual subscription since it saves money in the long run.
After the 1.5GB download completes and you install Qore, it shows up under Games in the XMB. Upon launching, you see a preview trailer of The Incredible Hulk movie, which looks damn good. Just about everything in Qore is presented in HD. After the preview, you get an intro video from Veronica Belmont descibing just what you can expect from Qore.

Sony is introducing a monthly gaming video show on the PlayStation Network called Qore (pronounced Core). The show will be fully interactive where you can choose what to watch and when to watch. Exclusive videos and downloadable content will be bundled with each episode, hosted by Veronica Belmont.
The first episode will be available this Thursday, June 5th and have videos and content from games such as SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Secret Agent Clank, Soul Calibur 4 and Afro Samurai, as well as the latest Blu-ray Disc trailers, an exclusive SOCOM: Confrontation theme with an invitation to the SOCOM: Confrontation beta, art galleries and other surprises. Yes, that’s right, you’ll get into the SOCOM beta if you buy Qore.
Each episode will run you $2.99 or you can subscribe anually for $24.99. It’s like getting a gaming magazine, but in video form. Sounds pretty cool, but I hope content that would have normally ended up for free on the PSN doesn’t end up pay-only in Qore. Stay tuned for our thoughts on the first episode later this week and check out a preview after the jump.
