Rock Band is scheduled to get its second full album download next week. First we got a Judas Priest album and next comes The Cars. Harmonix has already announced an album from The Pixies as well, but no release date has been set.
Just how relevant are these albums? I’m sure something from Nirvana, Metallica, or anything a bit more current might sell better. But do you even want a full album? Inevitably there are some crappy songs on any given album, with most discs having more bad than good.
So what I want to know is, do you even care if we get full album downloads? Or would prefer more hits from your favorite bands? Let us know.

There is much speculation that the Ironman movie, which has been getting stellar reviews, is going to suffer in the box office due to the fact that its greatest demographic audience will be playing GTA IV all weekend. This is what high paid execs get to think about. Well, I want to know. I’m sorry, I thought this was America?

Based on our recent poll, it looks like more people than we thought are having issues with their copy of Grand Theft Auto IV. As of press time, 63% of you say you’re not having any issues at all with the game. That leaves the other 37% out in the cold until Rockstar comes up with a solid fix.
With 2,420 people voting, having 37% with issues is a lot. I’ve personally had one major lockup on the PS3 where I had to shut the system off at the switch in the back, otherwise it’s been fine. But I know a few people that can’t get past the opening cinematic. It’s a shame really.
Again, thanks to everyone who participated in the poll! We’re sending these results over to Rockstar to see if it can’t get thinks moving faster.
We’re trying to get a handle on just how widespread the issues are with Grand Theft Auto IV. Reports are flooding our tip box of freezing issues on both consoles, online issues on the PS3, bugs in the game, etc. We’re not turning this into any kind of fanboy fest, so this is a blanket poll. No 360 or PS3 choices, it’s just yes or no. Personally, I’m about 3 hours into single player on PS3 (haven’t tried multiplayer yet) and haven’t experienced any issues.
So, let us know how your time in Liberty City is going. Is it smooth sailing or are there a lot of bumps in the road?
[Update] We’re going to put together the results and send them over to Rockstar. See if we can’t help them out in seeing how widespread the problem may be.

Two killer aps are coming out very soon. One will be the eventual Game of the Year. Although one is a PS3 exclusive, the other seems primed to have Xbox 360 content that you cannot get anywhere else.

We’ve changed the terms a bit for Max to play his marathon Halo 3 session. Instead of seeing how long he can play, he’s going to play until there’s a winner: either him or the Xbox 360.
I have the Best Buy replacement plan, so I’m not terribly concerned here. So he’s going to play Halo 3 straight until either he quits or the Xbox 360 breaks. For some strange reason, I’m betting on the latter.

The other night I had the rare pleasure of watching both Happy Gilmore and Kingpin. I thought to myself, who is the better of the one handed men that star in those movies? You have the privilege of helping determine the most beloved one handed man.
Chubbs Peterson lost his hand because a goddamn alligator bit his hand off while searching for an errant golf ball in a Florida golf tournement. Cut him down in his prime it did.
On the other hand, we have Roy Munson. A former Iowa state champion bowler with the ring to prove it. He was convinced by Big Ern McCracken to hustle some money as drunken dictionary salesmen. Turns out, they were made, and Roy’s hand was stuck down the wrong end of a ball return.
