Peggle Sale for iPhone – I Now Own Four Versions

You’ve certainly heard about the Peggle $0.99 sale on the iPhone App Store by now. I found out the other day and was chatting about the game with Tyler (previously of Loot Ninja fame, now writing at AppAdvice). I already have Peggle on the PC, XBLA, and DS, but had avoided the iPhone version because I’d played the game already on 3 other platforms. The sale has changed that and I now own all four available versions.

After playing around with it on my iPhone, I can say that I really do like this version the best. Things feel the most precise to me with zooming and positions your shot. And having Peggle on the go wherever and whenever I choose is a great feeling.

I’m looking forward to going through unlocking all Peggle Masters again and getting immersed in the world of Peggle. You have to hand it to PopCap; I’ve never wanted to and actually purchased a game for so many platforms. If they start releasing Plants vs. Zombies for other platforms, I think this might happen again (review coming soon for that gem).

Review: Peggle (XBLA)

Peggle is one of those casual games that is alright to be loved by hardcore gamers, at least that’s what I tell myself.  The game was originally released in early 2007 for the PC and was able to garner all sorts of rave reviews.  The basic concept of the game is to shoot a ball from the top of the screen in hopes that it will ricochet off of as many pegs as possible on its way down to the bottom.  Sounds simple enough, but there is so much more to it.
