Many of us are out today to get drunk and eat wings while we watch the Super Bowl. I’m hoping the Cardinals whoop the Steelers’ ass, but that’s just me. Before the game, I have a feeling there will be some serious gaming going down.
I have both family and friends coming over and everyone has expressed interest in playing Scene It, Rock Band, and various Wii games. For probably a few hours before kick off, while we all stuff our faces, we’ll also be hammering away on plastic instruments and controllers.
What about all of you out there? Do you plan to incorporate video games into your Super Bowl party? Drop us a comment and let us know.

In case you were wondering if Sony was the shy, quiet type or the ones to get things rolling at the party, here’s your answer. I got a big box from them today labeled “Party Pack”, which quickly raised an eyebrow. To celebrate the launch of SingStar 90’s and Buzz! The Hollywood Quiz for the PS2, Sony is helping out with how to truly throw a rockin’ party.
I was amused to open the pack and find a SingStar 90’s and Buzz! labeled pizza box. Inside was a Buzz! t-shirt, movie candy, and popcorn, a Papa John’s gift card, and SingStar 90’s light-up shot glasses. Sitting next to the pizza box was an Instant-SingStar-In-A-Can. What exactly was inside? A feather boa and sunglasses. Just what I need to show how rockin’ I am.

We got a review come in for Game Party for the Wii from out good buddy leenis. Check it out…
The Nintendo Wii put out this game that is a combination of the popular bar games at pubs across America. It consists of five games: Darts, Shuffle Board, Basketball, Air Hockey, and Beer Pong (or their own version of it). Each of these games are Wii remote used, however a lot of it is homed in by clicking where the target is going to go and then using the Wii-mote to just control the speed of the object.
The first game that my roommates and I played was Beer Pong…obviously. You aim with the Wii-mote and click to make your target where you want it. It requires no skill whatsoever to lock the cursor into position where you want the ball to be thrown. Once you figure out where the best placement of the target its just a matter of time before you get the motion down. This makes the game way too easy, anyone that doesn’t have Palsy can put the cursor where they want it and click. Throwing the ball is just as simple.

Lots and lots of beer + 8 people + 3 editions of SingStar until 4am = a crapload of fun. If you’ve never played SingStar, you need to experience the fun.
I’m going to go back to sleep now since I have a raging headache. That, and I saw the debacle known as today’s Philadelphia Eagles uniforms.
