O&A talk GTA IV and Lazlo confirms DLC being worked on right now

On my drive in to work I typically listen to the Opie and Anthony show and today was no different except they were discussing GTA IV. Pretty cool that a video game is getting National radio and XM air time during prime time radio hours. The guys at O&A were super excited to get their copies of the game seeing that they are actually characters in GTA IV, they are even listed in the credits, how great will it be to score smack from Lil’ Jimmy Norton. Lazlo from Rockstar even called in, it was actually his second time on the show in the last two weeks and he discussed the game with the crew and confirmed that they are currently working on the DLC for the Xbox 360 already and eluded that it may be out as soon as this summer, which pushes things up from the Autumn date we had originally heard and still no word on the PS3 content, but Lazlo said he hoped if everything went well to see some PS3 love.

Dell 20″ Widescreen LCD FTW

Dell Widescreen MonitorIn case you don’t know what FTW means, it stands for “For The Win”. Get up with the slang, young-ins.

So, in an effort to be more productive, I picked up a Dell 20″ widescreen LCD monitor (E207WFP) and a Happauge WinTV-HVR-1600 HDTV tuner card. I opted for the Dell E-series instead of the 2007WFP because I have no need for the crazy adjustments it has, and the actual monitor is exactly the same. Didn’t feel like spending that extra $100.

You might be saying to yourself, how the bloody hell is an HDTV tuner card going to make this guy more productive? We’ll I’ll tell you. I hate silence; I need something going on. Radio hasn’t been cutting it for me, and I can only listen to the Opie and Anthony replay on XM so many times a day, so I’ve been working at the coffee table in the living room watching my HDTV. This has led to less coding, more gaming on my part, which is putting me behind schedule on a couple projects.

So I picked up a nice widescreen monitor and tv tuner card so I can have something to watch in my office while I do work. The monitor is more for a dual monitor setup on my laptop (which is a 15″ widescreen) than the tv part. I have a 19″ Dell LCD that my desktop runs on.

“Wee for a Wii” Contest Returns [Update]

Opie and AnthonyRemember that contest a few months back where a woman died for a Wii? Well, it’s back. This time, the brilliant minds of Opie and Anthony (of XM Radio fame) have decided to run the contest. No concrete details yet, they’re just teasing it all week. I’m sure they’ll put a good spin on it, as they usually do. If you haven’t heard these guys, they’re absolutely hilarious. And since the odds of water intoxication, which the Sacramento woman died from, is extremely rare, I’m sure the bbboys will push it to the limit.

[Update] So the lawyers at FreeFM got their claws in on this one and shut it down. O&A will be fired if they try to do this, so they’ve backed down some. Sucks, because this would have been a huge, funny contest

How to Install Windows Vista

Have you been having issues with installing Windows Vista? A lot of people have, with incompatible hardware, software, and the like.
