This is Ninja Cat. He is coming for you. By the time you seen him, its already too late. Its not really who Ninja Cat is, but what he does that defines him. He also likes Teddy Grahams.
Let me start by saying that I had my doubts about this game coming to a handheld due to the complexity and great gameplay of the console versions, but I was pleasantly surprised by Ninja Gaiden on the Nintendo DS. It is innovative in many ways, the style in which the DS is held (sideways) and the character are controlled (100% stylus control) are unique and add to the gaming experience. Ryu Hyabusa never looked better on the go.
Presentation and Graphics: Mini Ryu Hyabusa looks great on the Nintendo DS. Cut scenes are done in very appealing anime style clips, much like reading a comic book. The hack and slash is done very well on the touch screen and the other screen serves as a map to guide you along your travels. 8.5 of 10 Read More »
Don’t lie we know you do. Well here is an interesting game that may just give you that chance. Ninja Reflex on the DS and Wii looks to give you some Ninja style mini games to help hone your reflexes and Ninja awesomeness. I hope there is some replay value in this game and that not too many people hurt themselves flicking Wiiremotes everywhere. Looks amusing to me so far, may just be a rental though, I just can’t resist anything Ninja related.
Ok first of all let me say that a game that has pirates and ninjas in it should be freakin aweseome, too bad this one looks lame. Second of all there is no contest between ninjas and pirates, ninjas win hands down everytime!
I have seen a few videos and clips of this game and keep thinking it is some kind of bad joke. The graphics are shoddy, the gameplay looks weak and the comedic value of having pirates versus ninjas quickly runs out after a few seconds.
We brought you info on the game a while back, but now we have a solid gameplay trailer for you. Pirates vs Ninjas Dodgeball looks to be one of the most fun downloads of early 2008.
What’s better than a game full of bugs? A game full of bugs and ninjas, of course. Ninjas make everything better. So to go with that effect, NinjaBee is adding some of the shady folk to their Xbox Live Arcade title Band of Bugs.
The new campaign is set in a new desolate and mountain area beyond the known Insect Kingdom. Featuring a new unit class, players guide a ninja named Vail who leads a group of mercenaries while a mysterious group wreaks havoc across the snowy wasteland. The ninja adds a new level of strategy to Band of Bugs, forcing players to think in new ways.
The expansion pack will also add some new achievements, so get ready to boost your gamerscore.
Zombies + Ninjas + Aqua Teen Hunger Force = Win. Seriously, how can you go wrong with that combination? Midway released a new trailer today for the PS2 game, which shows the hotly contested Sandwich Battle. Who will win the ultimate fight of good and evil?
We recently had a chance to ask a few questions of Brent Fox, Art Director and partial company owner over at Wahoo Studios/NinjaBee about what his thoughts were on the future of their game developments and how they first got started in the business.
NinjaBee is a pretty big contributor to the Xbox Live Arcade and has many downloadable games like Cloning Clyde, Band of Bugs, Outpost Kaolki X, etc. also available for PC.
We broke this up into two parts to make it an easier read, expect the second part tomorrow.
- How was NinjaBee started?
At Wahoo Studios we had done a lot of development work for publishers. In fact, that was really all we had ever done. We had an idea for a game so we did what we always did and made a demo to pitch to publishers. It wasn’t the type of game that was typically found on a console. We talked to a lot of developers and it seemed to be too risky for all of these publishers. We had a friend suggest that we make it a downloadable PC game and sell it on our own. We spent the time to convert it to a PC game and, without knowing anything about the downloadable market, released our first PC game. Read More »
We take issue with this video as it excludes on of the greatest ninjas ever… the Loot Ninja. Although I do give Ryu Hyabusa the top spot, Ninja Gaiden will kill your friends. Who is your favorite ninja?
I am a sucker for all things ninja and these cutesy ninjas are no different. They are scheduled to release on the Nintendo DS first thing next year. I may need a bit of ninja action on my DS come the new year.
We're like Spaceballs... we're making Loot Ninja everything. Coming soon we'll have hats, shirts, hoodies, possibly banana hammocks if one Editor has his way...
Check out the shirt prototypes here and the hats here
