Ninja Gaiden 2 Getting Mission Mode This Week

Ninja Gaiden 2 Screen 2

Ninja Gaiden 2 is getting it’s first expansion this week with the addition of Mission Mode for 800 MS Points. The pack contains 25 stand-alone stages not found in the story to test your skills.

There are two types of missions for the new stages. Karma Attack is there to see how high you can raise your score. Survival gives you one weapon and throws endless enemies at you until you die. Both are cool additions for $10.

To go along with the Mission Mode pack, there are now 30 videos on the Xbox Live Marketplace that show off the locations of all the crystal skulls. Don’t worry, these videos are free.

If Ninja Gaiden is your thing and the camera didn’t make you almost puke like me, grab the pack and let us know your thoughts.

Ninja Gaiden 2 Demo Finally Available in North America

Ninja Gaiden 2 Screen 2

It only took a couple weeks. North American gamers on the fence about picking up Ninja Gaiden II now have a demo to try. You can check out the pretty graphics, all new combat, and somewhat annoying camera.

The demo weighs in at 857.96 MB, so it might take a few minutes to fully download to your Xbox 360. While you’re waiting, why not go outside and get from fresh air. It’s hotter than balls here in New York, so I might just stay inside in the AC.

Ninja Gaiden 2 Achievements Revealed

Ninja Gaiden 2 Screen 2

Ninja Gaiden 2 shipped to retailers yesterday and we got a chance to see what you’ll be spending hours to do to boost your gamerscore. Most of them seem straightforward, which is a surprise.

There are a few that I just don’t understand, such as the ones to complete the game using only one weapon. Just why? The game is hard enough, why would you want to limit yourself to only using one weapon the entire time? Couple that with the fact that each of eight weapon-specific achievements are 5 points each, and I have a feeling not too many people will be getting 1000 gamerscore. Not unless you’re insanely hardcore and want to play the game at least 8 times all the way through.

Anyone who has patiently awaited the demo for NG2 can now download it. Unfortunately, you cannot play it. What? Yeah. Its a video of someone playing the demo. Jesus tapdancing Christ. You are gonna tell me that I can download a demo for one of the most anticipated games of the year, but its someone else playing. Yeah, no thanks.

Just giving you all a heads up and not waste your time downloading this. So beat on MS’s part. Maybe we can get an exclusive look at the GoW2 guys eating lunch?
