An astute NeoGAF reader was driving through Shreveport, Louisiana where an upcoming film, Battle: Los Angeles, is currently being filmed. Set for an early 2011 release, it’s not unexpected to see billboards and ads for products that will be available around the release date, as seen above with the Resistance 3 billboard. Insomniac hasn’t confirmed the game as of yet, but given the success of the series, it’s hard to imagine it not being in development at present.
The cool part is the Statue of Liberty inside the “A” and the Empire State Building inside the “I”, hinting that the Chimera have moved over to New York in their invasion. Sounds good to me. I’m just hoping the single player campaign is fleshed out more than Resistance 2 and co-op is added back in to the campaign. I really enjoyed the Cooperative and Competitive modes in Resistance 2, but the game didn’t have the same longevity as other shooters. We’ll see if the third installment in the series changes that in 2011.
Apparently an overzealous gamer has gotten his hands onto a copy of Gears 2. He has the achievments to prove it. No idea how he got it, but is playing Gears 2 as we speak. In these pitiable confrontations with us you’ve proven to be the monster of gaming development, a sore on the industry and a squanderer of your subordinates’ time and effort. Through all this, through this self-inflicted PR nightmare, you’ve conquered vast new frontiers of unwarranted hyperbole and desperate pseudo-intellectual grasping. Buy an unaccredited doctorate, change your given name to Derek, and take up the reins; Derek Smart would eagerly defer to the greatness of Dr. Dyack.
What is an appropriate action to take in response to the man who continues to post here? I won’t be tolerating a second retconned “social experiment,” a second call for NeoGAF’s closing, or a second “worst forum” insult. You decided to ignore the option for real terms for your pointless tag bet, so with the majority of reviews condemning your magnum opus to mediocrity I’ll claim a suitable prize by telling you to get the hell off NeoGAF.
Wow. That’s what I call pwnage right there. Dyack runs his mouth then won’t back it up, then NeoGAF goes and bans him for calling them out. Pwnage on both sides.
