Uwe Boll Asks Blizzard to Make a World of Warcraft Movie

Oh jesus, God, no. Its the end of the world…of Warcraft. Uwe Boll should be called King Feces. Everything he touches turns to doody. The oft-maligned movie director turned self-defined genius has asked Blizzard to sell the rights to his company so he can make the first WoW movie. Blizzard responded, ever so politely:

We will not sell the movie rights, not to you… especially not to you.

And like that, Azeroth was saved. To be honest, it was never in any real danger. Do you really think they would undercut themselves and sell the beloved franchise to perhaps the most hated director in the gaming world to make a movie about a game? No, me neither. Its just funny to see someone get that soundly rejected.

Uwe Boll responds to anti-Boll internet-petition

Uwe Boll strikes back against petition to get him to stop making movies and I have to say it is the most hilarious thing I have seen in a while! He has balls I will give him that much.

So many things jump out from this video clip, form his awesome accent to his very large ego. He asks for a Pro-Boll petition, hahaha, has a nice ring to it actually.

I like the fact that Uwe is humble enough to boast about his genius and calls Michael Bay a retard and George Clooney bullshit.

Without further delay, I present classic Uwe Boll.

Uwe Boll Will Stop Making Movies if 1 Million People Say So

Uwe Boll

Do you want Uwe Boll to stop making giant debacles of video game movies? He’s already ruined such franchise as House of the Dead, BloodRayne, Dungeon Siege and Postal, with even more massacres in production.

FEARnet brought up an online petition to Uwe Boll during a recent interview where 18,000 people have signed up asking for Boll to stop directing movies altogether. Uwe shrugged it off, saying that’s not enough people. How many is? One million. Yep, a whole million people need to sign a petition and Uwe Boll will crawl back behind a rock.

I don’t know about you, but I’m all for this. So go sign the petition and let’s get some decent video game movies out there.

Orlando Bloom Cast for Lead in Prince of Persia Movie

Prince of Persia Classic Screenshot

In an effort to cast the most non-Persian actor possible, Orlando Bloom will be playing the lead role of the Prince in the upcoming Prince of Persia movie.

To prove the fact they didn’t want to have an actual Persian actor, Zac Efron came in second for the role. Yeah, both look oh so Persian. Then again, neither did the guy who played Xerxes in 300.

Bloom is set to make $40 million for his role as the Prince in the movie trilogy. Yeah, that’s a shit ton of money. The first film, being directed by Jerry Bruckheimer, is set to start filming in May in Morocco.

MS: HD Movies in the UK Will Take Under 30 Minutes to Download

Loot Ninja Faceplate on my Xbox 360

As the server capabilities of Xbox Live continue to be upgraded, especially after the Blackout of Winter ‘07, there have been promises made that the time it will take for an HD movie rental to be downloaded will be vastly reduced from about 4hrs to 30 minutes by the end of this year. According to a statement from a Virgin Media spokesperson, their upgraded service will reach more homes than ever before, 9 million by their estimate. Usually a HD movie is about 15GB on the short end. This may be a problem with those who do not have a anything over a 25GB HDD.

Noboby’s Going to the Movies… It’s Master Chief’s Fault!

Halo Tournament Image

There always has to be someone to blame. People have trouble taking responsibility for failings. So it comes as no surprise that film executives are blaming Halo 3 for lower than expected October Box Office numbers. Box office sales are currently down 27% from last year.

“The audience on this game is the 18-to-34 demographic, similar to what you’d see in cinemas,” said Mike Hickey, an analyst at Janco Partners, adding that “this could last for several weeks.”

I’m sure this big drop in numbers has absolutely nothing to do with every movie currently out being shit. Nope, that couldn’t have anything to do with lower box office sales.

Gears of War Art Director Working on Thundercats Movie

Snarf ImageThundercats is my favorite cartoon ever. Hands down. Now word comes along that a new movie is coming, being directed and created by Jerry O’Flaherty.

Who the hell is Jerry O’Flaherty you ask? The’s the guy behind the art direction of Gears of War. Remember that game, that’s still one of the best looking titles of this generation? Yeah, he’s making a Thundercats movie.

Hopefully he doesn’t turn the class cartoon into a dark affair, because there’s a lot of people with high expectations, myself included. Either way, I’m very excited for this.

Halo 3 - Believe TV Ad

Halo 3 fan or not, this is an awesome commercial. If you think the GoW “Mad World” tv spot had some emotion to it, you need to watch.

Hitman - The Movie Trailer B

Movies and video games do not mix. A good game results in an awful movie(anything Uwe Boll) or an awesome movie(Transformers) results in a terrible game. Hitman looks really, really good from the trailers. I have to admit I am sort of excited.
