Max Payne Movie - Dangerous Trailer

New trailer for the Max Payne movie. I’m all types of excited. This looks to be one of the best video game movies ever made. I’ll definitely be paying to see this one. Don’t even have to convince my wife to go with me, she wants to see it too.

Max Payne Cast Interview

We start off by talking to Ludacris who is the internal affairs agent, I like the fact that Luda sounds excited and proud to be in the movie based on Max Payne. Mila Kunis is next and she admits not being good at games that requires two thumbs? WTF, how else do you play video games? Mark Wahlberg finishes the interview by stating he likes Spike, why because of UFC and Dana White. I liked Mark until he makes the stupidest comment ever saying that he wouldn’t even look at the script if he knew it was a video game based movie, don’t just a book by it’s cover Mark, shame on you. Mark also admits that he has an addictive personality and apparently is too fragile to play the Wii because it hurts his thumb while playing Wii Tennis with his daughter.

Max Payne Hits the Silver Screen

Check out Mark Wahlberg as Max Payne, everyone’s favorite brooding cop on a revenge kick. The action looks pretty good in the film but it does not actually remind me of Max Payne the game at all. Instead it kind of reminds me of Die Hard with the exploding building scene. Curious if the bullet time mechanic will show up as well as the crazy dream sequences in the movie or they will leave the video game stuff behind and just focus on the story. If you look closely, you will see Ludacris is in the movie… Luda what are you doing here?

Condemned Bloodshot 2 Impressions - Xbox 360

Condemned 2
Condemned 2 Bloodshot is a very dark and twisted game that kind of blurs the line between reality and the paranormal. At first glance the game reminds me a lot of Max Payne in that it is very dark and there are many demented noises to set the mood. You are a detective/special agent Ethan Thomas and your primary mode of attack is beating people with your bare fists or anything you can grab up off the floor.

As I played through you see the “infected” or enemies and then some slimy black goo like enemies. I am not sure if these are meant to be superhuman or not? The game definitely has the dark and eerie portion down, but the element if the enemies are human or monsters is a bit odd. Is this supposed to be science fiction or mimic real life?

Rumor Mill: Max Payne Sequel in Development

Max Payne

So we know Ken Levine is a “terrific asset to the company” and that he’s working on a new game instead of BioShock 2. But just what is this new project? Some signs point to a sequel to Max Payne.

With the movie in development, it seems like a great time to bring the game back. And the creative genius of Ken Levine might just be what it takes to revitalize the franchise. The second game wasn’t all that, so there’s a lot of expectation for what Payne can bring to the more powerful consoles.

The movie is slated for a late 2008 or early 2009 release and I think this would be a perfect time to bring back Max Payne. Only time will tell, though.

Max Payne Movie to Begin Filming Soon

Another great video game franchise is hitting the big screen. The first question to all of us is, “How bad is this going to suck?” The role of Max Payne will be played by none other than Mark Wahlberg of Dirk Diggler fame. The filming should conclude around early May. Does anyone think this is going to be even halfway decent?
