Reminder: Loot Ninja T-Shirt Contest

Don’t forget about the most recent Loot-Ninja contest folks.  There are just 10 more days until it ends.  Remember, you task is to create a prototype of a shirt for Loot-Ninja.  The shirt should be relevant to Loot-Ninja and include the name or the website.  You are not responsible for actually creating the shirt, only a design for a shirt.

On January 1st, all of the contestants’ designs will be posted, and the community will vote them on.  The design receiving the most votes will win.  What will they win you might ask; a big bundle of surprises, including shirts, hats, games, dlc, accessories, and possibly some other cool things.  We are going to start the New Year off right with a big giveaway so be a part of it and help us begin to design some merchandise.  There will be merchandise available in the beginning of January so get prepared.

We have recieved several entries, so get your designs in.  E-Mail your design(s) or questions to shirts [at] loot-ninja [dot] com as well as any questions or concerns you may have that you may not want others to see in the comments.  Good luck, and godspeed.

2008 Game of the Year - Nintendo DS

Finishing off the handheld division, but certainly not least, is the Nintendo DS. Selling more units than I care to count in 2008, Nintendo’s little dual screen wonder has a lot going for it, including good games.

Rounding out third place this year is Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword from Tecmo. One of the best action games from early to current consoles was ported over to the DS with great success. Aside from coming with a kick-ass sword stylus, the game sported simple, yet elegant controls that allowed you to unleash Ryu Hayabusa’s most dangerous attacks.

2008 Game of the Year - PSP

Moving right along, we’re now on to the Game of the Year choices for Sony’s PSP. There were a good number of must own titles this year, so this was more difficult than previous year’s choices. Let’s get right to it.

Bringing up the trifecta in third place is Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII from Square Enix. One of the biggest RPG’s to grace the platform, Crisis Core mixed a great story with solid gameplay to appease any Final Fantasy fan.

2008 Game of the Year - PC Games

Next up in our 2008 Game of the Year picks is PC gaming. Some people say the medium is dying, but I beg to differ given the tremedous amount of quality titles that were released this year. So let’s get right down to it.

Coming in third place is EA’s Spore. Even with a bit of controversy, Spore provided a solid take on multiple game genres and let you play god to your creatures in a whole new way. Will Wright continues to prove that he knows how to make a great game.
