LEGO is taking a page from Activision’s playbook by exploiting their franchise every way possible. Honestly I enjoy the LEGO games, maybe it’s the throwback gameplay that does it for me or maybe it’s the fact that Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Batman kick serious ass. Regardless, the next entry in the series is a nice change of pace to a RTS title, LEGO Battles. Coming for the DS LEGO Battles puts the player in control of original LEGO sets such as Space, Pirates, and Castles. Build your LEGO’s and destroy other LEGO’s. It’s like being a kid again which means this actually looks like it can be fun.
I’m baffled by this one. What started as a joke, then became real, went back to a joke again, and now it’s official. LEGO Rock Band is coming this Holiday season. What. The. Eff.
The game is supposed to be more tween/teen focused than previous Rock Band titles. A few tracks shipping with the game include:
Blur: “Song 2”
Carl Douglas: “Kung Fu Fighting”
Europe: “The Final Countdown”
Good Charlotte: “Boys and Girls”
Pink: “So What”
I guess we’ll be seeing mostly pop songs coming in this iteration. Maybe LEGO themed instruments too? The game will be released on the 360, PS3, Wii, and DS. Not sure how the DS version is going to work, but I’m guessing similar to Rock Band Unplugged on PSP.
I’m out of words on this one. Just don’t know what else to say. Check out more screens after the jump.
You would be hard pressed to take a look at mainstream culture and not see the Bat symbol hovering in the twilight. After The Dark Knight changed both the modern cinema landscape as well as people’s lives, we get a different dose of the Caped Crusader. This time, its a little more juvenile but fun nonetheless. This is Lego Batman.
As badass as Batman is appears, he would be jack shit without Alfred. Even superheroes need someone to make them scrambt eggs and was his undies. According to Batman canon, Alfred was a former espionage who knows his way around in a fight. Watch this trailer as he never drops his tray. Ever.
Lego Batman is coming. With Dark Knight just 2 weeks away and a Lego Batman game slated for this fall, its a good time to be the man behind the bat. Here are the first gameplay videos for the playable characters that are Poison Ivy and Bruce Wayne. Things to note: Uma Thurmann has nothing to do with this character. Bruce Wayne carries a briefcase and will beat the shit out of you with it. Robin’s first name is Dick. Just thought I would throw that in there.
We now know Mr. Freeze will make an appearance in what could turn out to be the best Batman game ever made. But here’s some gameplay where you get to take the reigns as The Joker and Harley Quinn. Looks good to me.
This summer is all about the most badass archaelogist ever known as a new movie and Lego adventure. The latter is looking to be another great game from the brilliant minds over at Lego. This is their first non Star Wars title, but we can expect the same great gameplay and overall awesome time.
Indiana Jones and LEGO fans alike will be pleased to know the game from their namesakes has been dated for Europe. The game is set to hit store shelves for all platforms on June 6th.
No date has been set for the US yet, but I would assume around the same date or slightly before.
We’ve seen gameplay footage before and it’s looking very polished. Can’t wait for this one to come out in a few months.
EGM’s April issue has made it’s way into the hands of some readers who are going apeshit over an article in the magazine. As you can see from the image above, EGM comes with Bungie’s next project, naming Lego Halo.
Here’s the problem. EGM is notorious with their April Fools jokes, and their entire issue for that month is almost a joke. So to all those of you flipping out, take a deep breath. The game is not in development. This was a joke. Relax.
While I, for one, would jump all over the game, it’s not coming. EGM did a good job in this one.
