Gran Turismo 5 Coming to Japan in March 2010

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Screen

It’s not the 2009 release many had hoped for, but it’s still right around the corner. At the Tokyo Game Show, Sony announced that Gran Turismo 5 would be coming to Japan in March 2010. No date has been set for North America or Europe, but Sony assures us we’ll here soon on a Western release date.

We know the driving mechanics will be great, but I’m interested to see how much you’ll be able to tweak the cars and how the career mode will work. In GT5 Prologue and the recent Gran Turismo for PSP, both were severely limited. I want to buy turbo kits and change my transmission gear ratios while going through a fluid career mode, not just Arcade.

Stay tuned for more information on when GT5 will hit Western shores. My guess is Summer or Fall 2010.

Stream Porn To Japanese PS3’s

Japanese Porn Poster

We here at Loot Ninja play our games hard!  We ride our victims into the ground, we demoralize them with ball gags, rope and other various items.  We humiliate them and teach them who’s their daddy, then move on to the next unsuspecting victim.  After a hard day of killin’ we like to sit back in our chairs, un-tie the top of our sweatpants, and let some fresh air in.  Killin’ is hard work, but we also like the softer side of our gaming consoles.  You know what I’m talking about right?  The soft glow of that magical power button, or the look of that black slit with loads of fun just on the other side?  You getting warmed up or excited yet?  Well good!  Because now I want you to think about a 90 year old tran-sexual named “Candy” with irritable bowel syndrome going to the bathroom.  That should have fixed that excited feeling.  If not, you might need to get checked out.

Japanese gamers will get a leg up (pun intended) and will be able to enjoy both sides of their console now with their PS3 being able to download and stream HD quality 1080p porn.  An organization called Digital Media Mart is using Blu-Ray technology to stream movies, TV shows and anime to our Sony consoles across the Western pond.  The ability to do so comes from a DMM.TV labeled disc (which is similar to those found in set top boxes) which contains an application for the PS3 to browse, download, and stream the online DMM archive.  Currently the service only works on Japanese PS3’s, but DMM is looking to bring the service to all hard-disk equipped Blu-ray players.

Why is it that Japanese gamers get all of the cool stuff?  Why do we live in such an uptight America where I have to put shoes on to go to the XXX store?  Why can’t I get my porn on my gaming console?  I really need to catch up on my Big Sausage Pizza seasons! Come ON!

Japanese Company Makes One Handed Typing a Thing of the Past

Some people like to look at porno on the computer. Yeah, startling. Well, a Japanese company lets to take that to a whole new level. You can plug this “cock dock” into your laptop via USB and it will go to town on you along with what is happening on screen. Just in case you wanted to do some holiday shopping.

Resident Evil 5 Available in Japan Only… But…

Some savvy gamers have found a way to play the Japan only Resident Evil 5 demo. You need to click here, follow the instructions. It is pretty easy. You are making a boot CD of the demo that tells the Xbox 360 it is in Japan. This may or may not violate TOS. So, maybe unplug your adapter just in case to avoid the banhammer.

Bionic Commando: Rearmed – Japanese Trailer

Only in Japan can a simple commercial for a game appear like the second coming of Jesus Christ. Here is a quick look at the new XBLA and PSN title, Bionic Commando: Rearmed. I only wish I knew what they were saying. Maybe its like that South Park episode and they are saying “Protect my balls, Let’s fighting Love!”

Yes, Afrika is actually coming out and this year, at least in Japan. You go around as a photojournalist on a safari in Africa, which seems kind of cool. Check out the trailer and hope for a US release in 2008.

“Steel” PS3 Confirmed for Japan Launch of MGS4

MGS4 PS3

Not only is Japan getting a much cooler MGS4 collector’s edition, they are also getting the first version of a differently colored PS3. The new “Steel” color will debut in June when MGS4 hit the shelves in a special bundle. There has been nothing said about a North American or UK launch, but we can only hope that this is not Japan only. Expect some pictures of this as soon as we get them.
