As I sit here writing my introduction, I have no idea how I first stumbled upon Loot Ninja or how I ended up reading post after post for over a year. After seeing that Loot Ninja was looking for more writers, I thought that it would give me a good chance to express my thoughts on the gaming community (writing editorials in the comments section isn’t the best way to get your word out).
Anyways, my name’s Chris Stone which isn’t anything special compared to Vanderslice. Most of you probably know me by Fragloser, Stone825, and most recently, Mixb. As a kid, my half-brother used to come by with his PS1 every weekend. I remember sitting there with him twisting it around in order to load games or leaving it vertically so a game wouldn’t freeze after an hour of play. He was probably the only reason I ever got into console gaming. Then there was the computer side of things where I found myself sitting for hours on my Pentium III Dell playing Quake III over a 28K modem.
As I’ve grown older (even though I’m the youngest writer here) I’ve found myself steering more and more towards console gaming because now I don’t have the time to deal with fiddling with new drivers when Punkbuster decides that I’m not allowed to play Battlefield or upgrading my computer solely for Crysis. I look forward to writing here and I hope to write plenty of interesting editorials.
Disclaimer: I just got back from Mexico so I decided to throw up a recent picture which may or may not tickle your fancy (I’m just going to assume the latter).

My name is Merrie and I go by the game name of LadyM. I too am old and still awesome. Some might know me from other sites like Gaming Steve and LadyMpire, I tend to write under the same name of LadyM and I use my sim as my avatar, newly updated with Sims3. I moderate several gaming forums as well as the official Spore forum. I’m a huge Sim and Spore fan. I’m probably one of the few who was not disappointed after waiting 3 years for Spore to be released. My first video game was Pong and I’ve played many since then. Currently I play a lot of PC games like Civ IV and Left 4 Dead. I also own a Xbox 360 (gamer tag: Gaming LadyM), Wii, DS and some of the older systems like Game Cube and PS2.
In my non game life, I enjoy traveling, cruising, movies and reading. I finally caved and bought a Kindle to store my books, great purchase. I live near the beautiful beaches of coastal North Carolina and love to spend a day on the boat.
I met some of the Loot Ninja staff at some EA events and I’m happy to be a part of the Loot Ninja team. I hope to bring some female gaming perspective to the table and hope you enjoy some of what I find interesting.

Greetings, everyone! I’m a new writer here at Loot Ninja, so I thought I’d share a bit about my history as a gamer and a little bit about myself personally.
I reside in what my wife likes to call the “frozen tundra” of Iowa. She’s from Louisiana, so any weather in Iowa at any time of the year is colder than her abode in the swamp. I have a typical job in a typical cubicle at a typical company. But, my passion is gaming, and it has been for over a decade. I have dabbled in games even earlier than that – ever since my parents bought my brothers and I a Nintendo Entertainment System when we were but wee sproutlings. But, my love of the hobby didn’t really take off until several years later when I played Final Fantasy III on the SNES. Since them I’ve been a heavy RPG gamer, mostly of the Japanese variety. That’s right, I love quirky story lines, spikey-haired heroes, lots of stats to keep track of and even random battles. Okay, the last point is pushing it, but you get the idea.
Although RPGs are where my gaming passion lies, I do enjoy other genres from time to time, as well. Some of my favorite games are Final Fantasy VI, X and XII, Secret of Mana, Skies of Arcadia, Portal, all the Star Ocean titles and the last couple games in the Elder Scrolls series.
So, that’s a little about me. I look forward to writing for Loot Ninja and interacting with the great community here. Take care!

Greetings Super Secret Loot Ninja Death Squad! Please don’t kill me and use my decapitated head as a toilet! I come in peace! No really! I do! I come bearing insight and information from all across the internet. Whew! Are you all calmed down now? Yeah? It’s okay to put your sai and throwing stars away now. There you go. Okay, good.
My name is Justin McCullough, and I’m going to be one of the new faces around here at Loot Ninja that Matt alluded to. Yes, that is me dressed up as Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam getting ready to play some Rock Band. Don’t ask me, it was just asking for it. They all say that!
My background in video game writing up until this point has been reading a few blogs here and there and following a few key writers. I’m very sorry for all of the rambling that is to come and hope you guys can make it through my shenanigans. I just want to let everyone know just how very excited I am to be writing here at Loot Ninja, and look forward to writing many articles, reviews, and impressions for all of you. I hope that you readers out there enjoy the hell out of the writing from everyone that has come on board, because I sure do. Please be sure to send me a friend request to add me as a friend on your console of choice (Wii, 360, or PS3). I’ll be more than happy to play a few games of anything with all of you, and really can’t wait to do that on Loot Ninja gaming nights in the coming future.
Cheers.

I’ve always wanted to be the guy who “needs no introductions”, but that clearly won’t be the case here. Loot Ninja also asked me to include a photo of myself if possible, but I decided against it, since the goal of hiring new writers is to bring in more traffic; putting my picture where everyone could see it would certainly drive traffic (far) away. Just imagine I look like Brad Pitt, and we’ll get through this together, I promise.
My name is Karl Vanderslice (no, not that Karl), and like most everyone reading this site, I’ve been playing games just about my entire natural born life – all twenty-one years of it. I’m primarily what you would call a “PC gamer”, since most of my gaming is done on a “Personal Computer”. I also have a PlayStation 3 and my trusty Nintendo DS, and have just recently become aware of the pure concentrated awesome that is the PlayStation Portable. When I’m not gaming, I enjoy watching foreign films The Big Lebowski on loop and collecting neo-classical art fishing.
I’m rather excited to be writing here, Loot Ninja has been a staple in my RSS reader for a while now, and I never would have thought I’d have the chance to be a part of it. Hopefully you guys enjoy reading my take on the day to day happenings of the gaming industry, and if not, we’ll just force you to read it until you love everything I write.

…but nerd comes to mind most often.
Gaming is a part-time passion of mine, and has been for years, ever since I woke up on Christmas morning, 1987. There I found, tucked up under the tree, my very own Tandy TRS 80 and a copy of my first ever videogame, Robocop. VICTORY WAS MINE!
Anyways, I stumbled upon this site pretty recently. I was Googling some random Boolean search about “zombies” like everyone else on the internets, when lo and behold, the first result at the top of the page? Loot Ninja’s “Zombie T-Shirt Caption Contest” from back in December, 2008. I entered on a whim, and managed to win a sweet zombie shirt, which my wife promptly stole from me. Anyways, Loot Ninja has been a daily/hourly stop for me ever since that day.
In the coming weeks, I hope to bring some new perspective, and my “non-mandatory 30 pieces of flair” to the Loot Ninja wardrobe. Hopefully you will be able to glean a small amount of useful information from my incoherent, insane ramblings. I’m not going to hold my breath on that last part.
*BLARGH*

Hi, my name is Jonathan, and I’m a gamer. Maybe I’m not the biggest gamer you’ll come across, but I like to think of video games as the Choose Your Own Adventure of an increasingly tech-savvy generation that’s watched flicks like Hackers and The Matrix way too many times (at least I probably have). I’m actually a filmmaker myself. I make horror movies. That means, despite an overwhelmingly disappointed consensus, I’m still playing the hell out of Resident Evil 5. It’s the co-op mode, man! Currently, my console of choice is the PS3. I’m big into Blu-ray, despite having declared it dead a year ago. Having said that, I will defend to the death my opinion that the N64 was the greatest console ever to grace the world of gaming. Hell, I still play with a Dreamcast, so what do I know? Anyway, you’re going to see me contributing ’round these parts. My PS3 ID is PumpkinHeadRex. Hit me up sometime.
