Okay guys, I know I’m not alone on this one. The time of year is quickly approaching where you will find great bargains, sales, and clearances on your favorite products, including video games, and electronics. I love the Holiday season as much as the next guy. Thanksgiving Turkey, Santa Claus in all the Malls, Figgy Pudding, and all that other crap. However, this is also the time of year, when most stores double, and some even triple their sales staff, to heckle, pester, and bug you into uneccessary purchases.

In the US, today is Labor Day, when we celebrate the working class by not working. Trust me, it makes total sense. Ok, maybe it doesn’t, but I still enjoy a day off like everyone else.
Today is also the last day that the track is open in Saratoga, so I’ll be spending my afternoon betting on the ponies and hoping to win big to cover the cost of all the games I’ll be buying in the near future.
We hope all our US readers are enjoying their holiday! To all of our international readers, hope you’re having a good Monday!

Sure, Bioshock 2 is being delayed until early 2010, but that’s no reason for you to get all in a tizzy. There are plenty of amazing games coming your way this Holiday season to more than make up for not having a Big Daddy at your fingertips.
You’ll be spending too much time playing Modern Warfare 2, Halo ODST, Uncharted 2, Assassin’s Creed 2, The Beatles Rock Band, and Barbie Horse Adventures to even worry about missing the return to Rapture.
Don’t fret and don’t get your panties all up in a bunch. This delay can only make it a better experience when you finally get to play Bioshock 2.

To all of our US readers, Happy 4th of July! To everyone else, Happy 4th of July! Today is Independence Day here in the States and we celebrate with BBQ, beer, friends, family, and fireworks. I’ll be partaking in almost all of those.
To celebrate here at Loot Ninja, we’re all taking the weekend off. We’ll be back Monday morning with our regularly scheduled programming.
I’m going to get shitfaced all weekend with beer, Don Julio and Maker’s Mark. I encourage all of you over 21 to do the same! Unlike last year, I won’t be able to slow cook ribs all day since it’s raining entirely too much here in Upstate NY. Oh well, just more time to get drunk

It’s been raining almost every day here in the Northeast. The forecast isn’t looking much better for the upcoming 10 days, including July 4th weekend. Most of us in the US have off tomorrow and with the long weekend scheduled to be a washout, why not spend some time gaming?
Personally, I’ll be rocking out Burnout Paradise – Big Surf Island (review coming soon), UFC 2009 Undisputed, MLB 09 The Show, and I might even go back to Uncharted if the mood strikes. I’ve been wanting to play through the game again in preparation for the sequel later this year, so we’ll see what happens.
How about you? Will you be doing any major gaming this weekend? Are you taking games with you if you’re traveling? Are you not in the US and just think it’s a normal weekend? Let us know in the comments.

To all our US readers out there, Happy Memorial Day! To everyone else, happy Monday. In the US, it’s a national holiday to remember and give thanks to all who have given their lives in military service. Usually, it ends up being a day to get drunk and have BBQ’s.
We’re taking the day off here at Loot Ninja, so check back tomorrow for some hot shit. All of our regularly scheduled Monday programming will be running tomorrow, so get geared up for the Battle of Wits, check out all this week’s released in Week in Games, and get caught up on all kinds of fun stuff in gaming.
My ribs kick ass and take names.

Happy love day to everyone out there! Here’s to hoping you spend some time away from games alone and actually get out with someone you care about. Both my wife and I are sick, so it’s a full day of laying on the couch and watching movies. Not too shabby.
What about you? How are you all spending your Valentine’s Day?

I couldn’t go a whole week without gaming, so I brought both my PSP and DS Lite with me over the Holidays to keep me entertained. I left the morning after Christmas to see family in a few locations and got back late New Year’s Eve. Surprisingly, I got a lot of gaming in while away.
I played through the entire 50cc and 100cc Grand Prix segments of Mario Kart on the DS. I rocked all eight Cups on both sections and only missed 1st place in one race. Also on the DS, I played through Elite Beat Agents… again. It’s still one of my favorite portable rhythm games.
Over on the PSP side of things, I finished off my third play-through of God of War: Chains of Olympus. I’m a huge fan of the game and have been loving each time through with Kratos. I also got through a lot more of Patapon on my second play-through there.
I didn’t expect to get this much gaming in while I was away. Now if only I could have gotten that in with some of the console games I want to finish. Hopefully in January I’ll polish off a few that have been crying out for completion.
Better late than never, I suppose, but here is a holiday greeting from Capcom, M. Bison more specifically. A nice way of spreading some holiday cheer as we all furiously wait for SF IV to finally hit the shelves. Until that, enjoy.

The Holiday season is coming to a close, everyone has unwrapped everything from under their Christmas tree, Hanukkah bush, or your appropriate holiday celebratory vegetation.
Tell us fellow Ninjas – What did you get? What did you give? What have you been playing? Anything left on your wish-list? Hit up the comments and let us know.
I’ll start off by saying aside from various DS games I’ve been flat out on Fallout 3, soon to get a gift from me, to me, of Left 4 Dead.
