Holy ballsacks, Batman. Hungover isn’t even the word. After slow cooking ribs all day yesterday then firing up some awesome chicken, burgers, and hot dogs, I got shit faced. Not sure about the rest of you, but I drank entirely too much to celebrate my July 4th.
I’m not sure if it was the massive quanities of beer or the Don Julio and Maker’s Mark that did, but I feel like ass today.
Here’s to hoping all of you got piss ass drunk too!

Just want to wish all of our readers in the US a Happy Memorial Day!
Get out there, BBQ up some hot dogs and burgers (or whatever your choice of BBQ food may be) and have a grand old time.
For those of you outside the US, have a happy Monday while we commemorate the brave men and women who have given their lives in defending our country.

From all of us to all of you Moms out there, have a very happy Mother’s Day! If you haven’t called your Mom to thank her to doing the things she does, get on it.
And don’t try to send your Mom a copy of GTA as a gift (unless she’s really into that sort of thing). Don’t say we didn’t warn you…

Happy Easter to those of you who like Jesus! It’s a day to celebrate when Jesus rose from the dead and came back as a giant rabbit who shits chocolate eggs. Wait, no.
Go eat some chocolate bunnies, peanut butter eggs, and put some Peeps in the microwave. Good times.

Considering I’m about 3/4 Irish, today is like a national Holiday for me. Guinness, Jamison’s, car bombs… it’s going to be a long day
Go grab a pint and some corned beef and get shitty. That’s my plan for later today. Oh it’s gonna be fun.
Let’s see who can drink enough to think they see a leprechauns…

In case you forgot, today is Valentine’s Day. You better run your ass out to a store and pick up a card and some overpriced flowers! Me? I’ll be cooking a real nice dinner for my wife later.
If you’re not blessed with a significant other this day of love, go out and play some video games. Maybe fire up GTA and grab a hooker? Whatever floats for your boat.

Winter-een-mas is upon us, and a Happy Holiday Season to you all!. In case you have no idea, Winter-een-mas is a celebration of video games and players created by Tim Buckley over at Control Alt Delete. The esteemed Holiday runs from January 25th through the 31st.
So how about you all grab a controller and fire off a few rounds to celebrate the most beloved of Holidays? Doesn’t matter where you are, you can still celebrate

It’s been 15 days now and Xbox Live still isn’t back to normal. It’s hard to believe that it’s just more users over the Holidays, since most people have gone back to work and school and the service is still messed up. According to the Xbox Support page right now:
Xbox Live and Zune Marketplace users will experience billing related transaction failures, including but not limited to: Purchase of premium download content, music, and account management, including account creation, renewal, and recovery; additionally users may experience issues with matchmaking and statistics related transactions.
Don’t plan on buying anything from the Marketplace right now, because you can’t. Matchmaking is also messed up, so if you’re trying to play online, you might not be able to get into a game. I personally can’t login. So I guess I won’t be doing that Halo 3 co-op I had planned for the day.
Does anybody really think one arcade game is enough for this insane amount of downtime? There’s already a lawsuit going against Microsoft for these problems. It all seems stupid to me… how could they not have the foresight to see the need for upgrading the servers?

Since it’s Holiday time, Sony needs a vacation too. That’s why we got such a huge update last week on the PlayStation Store. I’m sure not too many people will mind this week anyway, with tons of games coming your way for Christmas. I had hoped for some new Rock Band tracks, but it doesn’t look like I’ll get anything I wanted this week.
Stay tuned as we’ll bring you the details of the first update of 2008 next week.
