PS3 exclusives have been lagging behind and Haze has been no different, just plagued since it has been mentioned to the public with delays. Finally the news has hit the streets giving Haze a street date in May of this year. So it will be a fine day in May where PS3 owners will get to play Haze and use drugs (nectar) to become super-human soldiers in a war against rebels. Let’s just hope that Ubisoft doesn’t make any last minute changes and throw a wrench in the whole thing again.
Those of you anxious to get your hands on Haze and the drug induced potentials of this FPS will have to wait, again. Everyone was expecting this title to hit during the holidays last year and it was delayed and now news that it will be delayed again until March. There are just too many games being delayed, I can only hope that with the delays come improvements to the game.
Haze looks like another promising title for the PS3 and I for one think it is about time. This one looks to have some tight graphics and interest game play elements, apparantly the “Nectar” in the game gives you super soldier like powers. Nothing beats some good old fashioned pharmaceuticals to boost your attacks and reflexes the good old fashioned way. Haze has a Crysis like feel to it and at least for the early onset will be a PS3 exclusive so look forward to seeing more of Haze.
Ubisoft previously announced Haze is only coming to the PS3, and now they’ve announced it’s gone gold.
GamePower in Australia is reporting that Ubisoft has been telling everyone that Haze has been released to manufacturing. The game has a scheduled release date of November 19th in the US. Seems a little late given the fact the game is already gone gold?
Maybe this will give Ubisoft time to get a demo together before release for the PlayStation Store…
Haze, the new sci-fi first person shooter from Ubisoft, which was once set as a timed exclusive for the PS3 is now fully exclusive.
Ubisoft confirmed to Gamespot UK that the PS3 version is currently the only one in development, no plans to bring it to any other platforms at a later date.
Today, Ubisoft said that currently no other versions in development, and although it was still leaving the door open in the future for “new partnerships,” currently the game is indeed only planned for the PS3. A spokesperson said, “The official statement on PC and Xbox 360 is that these platforms are not confirmed.”
The Web sites of Free Radical, the Official Haze site, and Ubisoft site, all now only list the PS3 version of the game.
All of the trailers for this game have looked pretty good. I’m not a big FPS fan, but I’ll give it a look and see how it goes.

Sony updated the PlayStation Store on the PS3 today, just like every Thursday. But today there’s something to be very excited about. We get a demo for Heavenly Sword.
We’ve known for a little while we’d see a Heavenly Sword demo soon, and it was confirmed earlier this week. The wait is over, except for the download time for the 996MB demo.
Other updates include a Metal Gear Solid 4 gameplay trailer, an extended Resident Evil 5 trailer, a Haze: Origins trailer, 30 Days of Night trailer, Across the Universe trailer, and an August Rush trailer.
So go fire up your PS3 and download all the new content. I know that’s what I’ll be doing.
This FPS could be a sleeper hit among all the big names. Its coming to Xbox360, PC, and the PS3 so expect to hear a lot more about it when it drops on November 20th of this year.
