-Insane stat tracking coupled with MyResistance.net
Thats right 60 people online killing each other with different classes for your character, this may blow away COD4 and GRAW.
Ok with Thanksgiving being tomorrow this marks one of the worst shoppings days ever, Black Friday! For those of you that may not know about this god forsaken day, it is when the women folk convince the men that they need to get up at the crack of dawn to go shopping in order to exploit doorbuster sales! Sometimes these sales are good, but you have to stand in line outside of a store at 4am just to get a shot at any of the things on sale, typically the good stuff is limited to a few per store and it becomes a huge headache!
Best Buy is no different and they have given us a preview of what to expect during the crack of dawn sale:
* FREE GHII with Xbox 360 (minimum 15 per store, limit 1 per customer)
* Stuntman Ignition, COD3:Gold Edition, SpiderMan 3 and GRAW2 for $19.99 on the Xbox 360 (minimum 20 per tore, 1 per customer)
* On the movie side of things you can get a DVD copy of Knocked Up or 300 for $6.99
All and all not anything that screams to me that I need to get up before the sun comes out, but we will see.
We brought you the minimum requirements to run Crysis on your computer, so the least we could do is show you a glimpse of what you can expect from EA and Crytek. Here is some pretty gameplay with a splash of backstory, it has a Halo meets GRAW feel to it, but looks pretty amazing.
In case you didn’t want to drop the 800 MS Points for the GRAW2 Throwback Pack that was released this past May, you can now download it for free for the Xbox 360.
The pack includes 7 remastered maps from the original Ghost Recon and the first GRAW.
Too little, too late I think. Most people have moved on from GRAW2 on the Xbox 360 and started playing other games. I think Ubisoft almost had to do this on 360 since the PS3 version will include these maps for free.
Why?! Why must people that play online shooters or online in general be jerks? Why can’t people just play the %ucking game and not try to give everyone a headache? My frustration stems from GRAW 2 on the Xbox 360 and trying to play over Xbox Live, but it got me thinking about this particular item.
I was playing through GRAW 2 single player and decided to hop online and try some of the multiplayer gametypes, bad idea! I proceeded to try and just get a quick game online using the quick match funtion. I quickly got booted. OK, so I think this is nothing and try another one after running a custom search. 15 games later of trying to get into a game and not get booted, I finally go back to one of the original rooms and try to ask why i keep getting booted for no reason? Answer: Becasue my rank was 1, wtf?? So I ask the kids on the other side (that were level 9) if they born level 9 perchance? How the %uck are people supposed to level up or learn how to play if higher players won’t play with them for fear of losing levels?
Correct me if I am wrong, but if you are so good and are such a high level, what would be your fear of playing with some low level players anyway? Also I wasn’t aware that your GRAW level was correlated with some life or death statistic?! I proceeded to go off and yell at the kids in the room and vent my frustrations, but it just brought me to a bad place, why must online games give me heart burn?
If you haven’t had a chance to check out the latest Xbox 360 demos on Xbox Marketplace, shame on you, we here at Loot Ninja highly reccomend you do. With the new ability to download while playing games and leave your system on overnight while downloading there shoudl be no excuse, unless you filled your HDD with music. There are some quality demos available like:
* Tenchu Z (Some stealth ninja action for ya)
* Forza Motorsport 2 (A bit of racing to get your engine going)
* Shadowrun (Elves and dwarves killing in the name of…)
* Overlord (Just added today, get your evil villain on)
* GRAW 2 (If you liked GRAW one, take a look)
* Command & Conquer 3 (RTS + bombs = Nice)
* Winning Eleven Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 (GOOOOOOOOOAL)
That is a decent lineup for demos this month, many of which just came out this week, so if you were on the fence about grabbing a title, take it out for a spin and feel it up first. Each demo is around 800 Mb to 1 Gb in size and retails for 0 rubles, my favorite sum of cash.
Here’s a trailer for the pseudo-new maps in the Throwback Pack coming for GRAW2 that’s available today for 800 MS Points ($10). Personally, I think this is severly overpriced for some old maps.
This morning we’re graced by 2 new demos on the 360 Marketplace. The first is the previously announced GRAW2 Multiplayer Demo. That weighs in at 313.89MB. Not bad, should be a fairly quick download. The other, which I’m highly looking forward to, is MLB 2K7, which is a hefty 970.87MB. Be downloading people.
[Update] Been downloading the MLB 2K7 demo for about 2 hours now, and it’s only at 50%. The XBL servers must be getting hammered.
Ubisoft today announced that the GRAW2 Multiplayer Demo for Xbox 360 will be released February 26, 2007 (that’s next Monday for all you slow people out there). Good news for GRAW fans who couldn’t get enough of the single player demo.
The Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 (GRAW2, for any normal human) demo is now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace. I’m very excited for this. I still haven’t played much of the first GRAW, but it’s high on my list to play, after Gears and Lost Planet. If only that damn Viva Pinata wouldn’t be so addictive… The demo weighs in at approximately 625MB, so it shouldn’t take too long for anyone to download. It’s only a single player demo, but go grab it and start shooting Mexican terrorists!
