It looks like Kratos is becoming the poster boy for Sony and is making appearances everywhere he possibly can. The latest news puts Kratos the resident God of War becoming a playable character in Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds. Look for this to be some DLC today on your PS3. The voice of Kratos will be echoing on the links now as Kratos strives to become the God of the Greens.

Jason is one part God of War and one part Gladiator, but shows a lot of promise. Jason in Rise of the Argonauts starts his journey to vengeance as a king so there is no taking him from rags to riches, but instead just helping him execute his revenge after seeing his wife murdered. A good mix of enemies and monsters are shown in the trailer although I think the in game footage in the second clip leaves a bit to be desired graphically.

You have probably traveled around and seen the Apple vending machines where you can buy iPods and accessories, but on Loot Ninja’s recent travels to the twin cities, a.k.a. Minnesota, Loot Ninja came across two vending machines it had never seen before. Right in the Minnesota airport there was a kiosk for Best Buy Express and another not too far away for Sony. There was actually a third one that had Elizabeth Arden products as well, but we weren’t as interested in perfume and cosmetics.
The Best Buy vending machine had an assortment of products that any frequent flyer may find a need for like headphones, chargers and video games. Inside there was a few Nintendo DS handhelds as well as Mario Kart and Mario Party for the DS at normal retail prices which was the real shocker, I was certain you would be charged a joy of buying in the airport fee but it was normal MSRP.

Soul Caliber IV is turning into a fan-fest of characters. The latest rumor is that Kratos will be a playable character on the PS3 version of the game. Could actually be damn cool with his Blades.
This hasn’t been confirmed by Namco Bandai just yet, but I’d expect an announcement at E3. And if PS3 is getting it’s own exclusive character, what about the 360? Can we expect Master Chief or something like that? Only time will tell.

GH3 will release a free track which is from the God of war universe. The Song titled, “The End Begins” will be available via free download. Here are a free choice chords. The song is not nearly as iconic as the Halo Theme, but still rocks. Here’s hoping they keep doing these sorts of things. What songs do you guys think they should do next? I’m sure if we all came to a consensus, they would maybe hear what we had to say.
Remember Prince of Persia back in the day, well this version is nothing like, think God of War meets Heavenly Sword action. This clip is exclusive from the recent Ubiday that Ubisoft held to show of the newest version of Prince of Persia among other titles. The story finds great and the voice actor they chose is phenomenal, too bad I don’t think this is actual gameplay footage, but instead just cut scenes. The gameplay that I have seen so far looks to be almost cell shaded in nature, although the cutscenes look beautiful!
There will be a God of War themed track to be released for download on the PS3 version of Guitar Hero 3. The track will be free and ready for download on June 5. This may seem odd, but remember when Bungie made the Halo theme a free download. Could this mean that a GoW 3 announcement will be dropped on us soon? We friggin’ hope so. We’ll let you know again the day that it is available.
What happens when you get to into your video games and your friends have time on their hand and extra dry wall? You get popped in the head and then look around like you don’t know what happened. I have to tell you that there is an utter and constant lack of nudity in video games. Why can’t I play a mature rated game and see some gratuitous breasts walk by? The first major game to incorporate any kind of mature content was God of War with the mini game where you had sex and got extra Red orbs. GTA tried to have it incorporated into their games, but was reduced to calling a hooker over to your car and driving to a shaded area where the car just jumped up and down.
Since majority of the video game players of the world are over 18, putting in some sex or just random nudity shouldn’t be a problem. Don’t we have a fully robust ESRB system where games are clearly marked as Mature or Adult only? I can see people just coming out of the woodworks to complain that there is nudity in a game and that a child might be able to see some tits before his nuts have dropped, but again isn’t that why games are rated? What other purpose do the small letters in the corner of games boxes serve?

Sony decided it was a good time to drop an amazing commercial for a PSP game, with God of War being released today. I haven’t seen this on TV yet, but it’s pretty damn cool.
This game is a must buy. No questions about it.
