In case you missed it, scroll down please, Xbox 360 is rumored to have a massivr relaunch of the console. Again, all the details are at the post below. G4, the supposed ESPN of gaming, was rumored to be showing live footage of the relaunch. They have recently said they have no word or plan to show anything in that timeslot. They also claim to know nothing about it but will show live TV and internet coverage if something does occur. Thanks for the cop out. Like NBC expected to show OJ driving down the freeway.
Remember that debacle we talked about this morning with Konami putting restrictions on reviews of Metal Gear Solid 4? Adam Sessler of G4’s X-play got to speak with Stephen Totilo about how the all is going down. Check out from the mouth who broke the story.
G4TV has become a cesspool of crap over the past few years. What was a pretty cool channel in its infancy is now filled with Cheaters, Cops, and other dumb stuff that has nothing to do with video games. For a channel that was dedicated to the genre, having only 2-3 shows about games (that have been butchered as well) is shameful.
It looks like the people running the network have heard your cries. Starting June 2nd, every weekday from 9am until noon will be filled with classic video game programming from the infancy of the network. Some of the great shows like Judgement Day, Cinematech, Cheat, Filter, Blister, Area, G4TV.com, and others will be available for you every morning. So set your DVR’s and get watching.
The best part… according to our insider over at G4TV, this is a test run to see how much video game programming they will bring back. The higher the ratings, the more gaming shows will make a comeback. So if you care about this thing (and you should), make sure to watch from 9am until noon on weekdays starting June 2nd.
