Anyone who is wishing for some new rides will get them next week when Forza 2 updates their car roster via some new DLC. We will get this on Wednesday, March 19th. Forza 2 was a better than decent game and anyone who has logged in a ton of hours here will surely want to pick this up.
Two items have just been made available on Xbox Live Marketplace. The first in the free download for the Renault Clio 197. Once downloaded, the car will be able to be purchased in game with credits.
Secondly, for 400 points, you will be able to download the December Car Pack. This pack has the following cars:
R8 Audi Sport Quattro, BMW Motorsport M3 E30, Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Ferrari FXX ,Koenigsegg CCGT, Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, Pontiac Trans Am SD-455 ,Porsche 911 GT1 (996), Renault 5 Turbo, Renault Clio Renaultsport 197.
Like the previous download, you need to buy the cars in game, but are not available otherwise. These are not available in India. Sucks to be in India. I have not seen many downloads that are available in India. There should be a Kelly from The Office theme for DL in India.
Forza 2 is going to get some new cars this weekend on the Xbox 360. For 400 MS Points ($5 US), you can race around in these 10 new cars:

2006 Audi R10 (#8 Audi Sport Team Joest) Prototype
1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Hemi
2006 Dodge Challenger Concept
2006 Honda Civic Si Coupe
2007 Honda Civic Type-R
1967 Lamborghini Miura P400
2006 Lamborghini Miura Concept
2007 Porsche 911 GT3 RS (997)
2007 Saturn Sky Red Line
2007 SEAT Leon Supercup
There’s a couple cool ones there, including the Audi R10, which is my personal favorite. I haven’t touched Forza in a long time, and I don’t think this is enough to bring me back into the game.
For all you gamers looking to tune your driving machines to the best possible degree, here is a link with some very helpful tips on helpful instructions straight from Forza themselves. Thank me as I pass you on the right later.
The crazy designs people have been making in Forza 2 are mind blowing. It’s a terrific feature and one that has sparked some big designs being sold at auction.
Here’s new car design paying homage to the Xbox 360’s Red Ring of Death. User CoolNumber9 had just enough life left in his 360 by wrapping it in a towel to get this design done. I hope this gets the most amount at auction of any car in the game.
So with all the hype comes great scrutiny and we here at Loot Ninja are no different, we take Forza, flip up it’s hood and poke around until satisfied.
Presentation and Graphics: The game supports 720p graphics, which looked very crisp on a high definition display. The game runs at 60 fps, which is impressive, but unfortunately does suffer from some jaggies like the demo. (but this can be overlooked when you look at the beautiful backgrounds) The presentation of the game is terrific and the car editor functions are outstanding. You can fully customize any car in the game from aerodynamics to engine to pure paint job. I also like that your current car is displayed in the main menus as you choose races. Forza 2 does great as far as presentation goes. 4.5 of 5
Sound and Music: The music in Forza is decent, but I typically just mute the soundtrack, plug in my iPod and turn up the FX sounds. Nothing beats a nice engine rev in 5.1 surround sound with a little bit of Jay Z going in the background. You can actually here the fans cheer as you rev by them. 4 of 5
So I decided to take a shot at creating our own Forza 2 skin. Here are some shots of our 2005 BMW M3, complete with Loot Ninja logo. Let me know what ya think.
The Xbox 360’s Wireless Racing Wheel was severely overpriced. At $159.99, not many people were swarming into stores to grab one. Seeing this, Microsoft wisely slashed a few clams off the price, making it a svelte $129.99. Not a huge drop, but any price drop will be good.
The price drop is in line with the release of Forza 2, which Microsoft hopes will spark the sales of the racing wheel.
Personally, I’ve spent way too much on accessories for the Xbox 360 and don’t have any plans to drop another $130 on a racing wheel.
We're like Spaceballs... we're making Loot Ninja everything. Coming soon we'll have hats, shirts, hoodies, possibly banana hammocks if one Editor has his way...
Check out the shirt prototypes here and the hats here
