Let me start off by saying that the PlayStation 3 IS THE BEST SYSTEM EVER AND DESTROYS THE 360 WITH LARGE STICKS!!!
No wait.
THE XBOX 360 IS THE DEFINITIVE CONSOLE OF THE GENERATION AND MAKES PLAYSTATION 3 OWNERS WEEP WITH THE SLIGHTEST THOUGHT OF ITS AWESOMENESS!!!!!
No, that’s not what I wanted to say either. What was I thinking? Oh right. What I’m driving at is that IT DOESN’T MATTER!! PEOPLE SHOULD JUST GET OVER THIS WHOLE STUPID ARGUMENT, PLAY THE GREAT GAMES THAT BOTH SYSTEMS OFFER AND STOP ACTING LIKE SCHMUCKS!!!!!
Seriously people. We gotta knock this lame shit off. Think I’m an asshole? Fine. Think I should shut my mouth? Fair enough. It’s a free country. Think I might be onto something? Click the link and see where I go with this.
There are fanboys and then there is this guy. I can see painting an entire room a color of a sports team, but Xbox 360? If this man can bring back some girls to his house and show them this room and they don’t laugh in his face or run out screaming, he has to marry them on the spot.
There is a lot of “fanboy” hate in the gaming community and I really don’t understand why. What’s wrong with a “fanboy,” and why do people hate them so much? It’s really interesting if you think about other companies outside of the gaming world; they too have what the gaming community conceives as “fanboys.”
There are “fanboys” for every system out there. From the original Nintendo, Sega, and Playstation, to PC gaming, Xbox, Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, and Wii; they all have groups of “fanboys.” There are people out there who love their Wii, they wouldn’t give it up for anything, and these Wii “fanboy’s” will bash anyone who claims the Wii is useless and utterly dismal. The same is true of any system in the market today. Is this a bad thing? No, I don’t believe so. Unless, however, one’s love for a certain system makes them bash other systems irrationally; and this happens all too often. I hate when an excuse to disprove somebody’s idea is simply, “well they are a ‘fanboy’.” It’s such an invalid argument it enrages me; so maybe there should be “fanboy” hate.
Metacritic is a website that compiles reviews, both user and press for anything tech related. The gamut spans games, movies, and tv. To get press access, you must have a library of published reviews, which Loot Ninja is on the brink of obtaining access. So where is the ruckus?
Little Big Planet, probably the most anticipated game on the PS3 ever, more so than MGS4, has not hit the streets yet due to the recall. Xbox 360 fanboys managed to get the user review to below 6. Having no one played this game outside of press, this is obvious an attempt to skew the score lower. Editors at Metacritic are trying to block such occurrences from happening. The PS3 fanboys struck back in full force giving Gears of War 2 a hefty 4.1.
This is funny and sad at the same time. The reviews mean nothing. Mostly because the game is not even out yet and pardon my ignorance, I don’t think a 13 year old kid has the wherewithal to review anything unless they are a very gifted individual. Anyone who has to resort to guerrilla “reviewing” is probably not that sort. Metacritic claims they are doing everything to put an end to such bullshit and are exploring all options. Here is a crazy idea… block any user review before a game hits its release date and anyone who submits an obvious early review is banned. Doesn’t seem like the problem is that hard to solve.
That’s right, folks. Fanboys are official, according to Merriam-Webster. It’s already in the Oxford English Dictionary too.
Glad to know that the people who makes words official realize that fanboyism has become such a problem that the word needs to be officially recognized.
