Mass Effect 2 E309 Trailer

One game I didn’t get to see at E3 was Mass Effect 2. It was being shown behind closed doors and I just didn’t have enough time to catch it all. I was happy to see the new extended cut trailer when I got home. Looking forward to playing this one a ton.

E309: Scenes from the Show Floor Day 3

E309 APB Show Floor Day 3

E3 wrapped up on Thursday afternoon and I had a bunch of pictures to post, but unfortunately my laptop didn’t want to cooperate. Now that I’m home, it’s time to get back to writing and getting you my thoughts on all the games I got to play.

Check out some more booth babes and other shots from the show floor on day 3.

E309 Claims its First Victim: My MacBook Pro

MacBook Pro

After getting back to my hotel Thursday after another amazing day at E3, I fired up my MacBook Pro to start writings more hands-on sessions, interviews, and previews. Sadly, it decided that wasn’t in the cards. My keyboard and trackpad were completely non-responsive. I couldn’t even get past the login screen.

I’m back home now using my Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, so you can expect a slew of info about the metric ton of games I got a chance to see at E3. It was my first time at the big show and it was amazing!

Stay tuned as our coverage rolls on throughout the week.

God of War III – E3 09: Developer Walkthrough Pt. 1

Like you are going to read this anyway. Just watch the video and have some tissues nearby. Be sure to click through and watch Pt. 2-5. Kratos FTMFW.

Fight Night Round 4 – E3 09: Tyson Vs Ali Gameplay

The greatest of all time versus who could have been the greatest of all time if he didn’t behave like a martian. Boxing has become boring and stale and this game is the opposite of those. Any fighting fan will be in line Day 1 for this.

E309: LEGO Battles Trailer

LEGO is taking a page from Activision’s playbook by exploiting their franchise every way possible.  Honestly I enjoy the LEGO games, maybe it’s the throwback gameplay that does it for me or maybe it’s the fact that Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Batman kick serious ass.  Regardless, the next entry in the series is a nice change of pace to a RTS title, LEGO Battles.  Coming for the DS LEGO Battles puts the player in control of original LEGO sets such as Space, Pirates, and Castles.  Build your LEGO’s and destroy other LEGO’s.  It’s like being a kid again which means this actually looks like it can be fun.

E309: Scribblenauts Trailer

Before you look I just want to say AWESOME.  Matt agrees, this is a day one purchase.  Scribblenauts is a puzzle game for the DS that 5th Cell has given a neat little twist.  To solve puzzles you write any word you can think of and the game will create that object.  Have a zombie in the way and want him to be crushed by a meteor, then write meteor.  Yes it’s that cool, just watch.  I cannot wait to see how many problems can really be solved with alcohol, or dildos… I’m sure someone out there already has an answer for this.

Aliens vs Predator – E3 09: Adversaries Trailer

The Aliens vs Predator concept has more potential than all the attempted crossover ideas I have seen. So far, no one has figured out how to harness said potential into a decent product. Outside of some decent at the very best movies and 16 bit games, this franchise is just waiting to explode. We have been blessed with AvP. As long as the weight the classes evenly and they promise an even campaign for all three, this could be awesome.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – E3 09 Trailer

People said that Kojima would never work with Microsoft. Well, that was debunked. Now, it seems as if Kojima has expanded beyond Metal Gear and will be helping with a complete reinvention of Castlevania. Looks like God of War, probably plays like it, which means it is going to kick some serious ass. The voice talent they got? Top. Notch.

E309: Hands on with PSP Go

PSP Go Image

Most PSP Go units were bolted down like no one’s business at E3. Us crazy game writers and developers might swipe that shit (people were taking the Rock Band Beatles drum sticks). I got to play around a bit both with a tied down unit and one freed from its shackles. If it was $250, I’d buy one.
