MySims Camera for the Nintendo DSi

When I attended the EA Blogger’s Day event last month, I got to see a cool new application for the DSi using MySims characters. We were told we couldn’t talk about it but the embargo has been lifted and EA has finally released the MySims Camera. If you’ve ever played with a DSi you know that it includes a camera that can take photos from either side of the DS. Once taken you can add stickers and frames and make them fun. The MySims Camera take it a step further by taking 3D versions of the MySims characters and bring them into the real world. They can be moved and rotated, scaled and cropped to fit the photo. The photos can be saved on the SD card and be shared with others. The MySims Camera app is available now through the Nintendo DSi store.

Special note: I just visted the Nintendo DSi store to get my copy of this app (because I liked it) and found out that if you have a new DSi and you connect to the store by today (Oct 5th) you can get 1000 free points. So I did this and got my free points and bought the MySims Camera with 200 of those points. That was super cool!!! I still have 800 points to spend.

Why the PSP Go Will Not Have the Same Impact as the DSi

PSP Go Eurogamer Leak Image

It was one of the worst kept secrets of the year that turned into a full blown leak today via Qore. The PSP Go looks to spice up Sony’s portable lineup while leaving the current PSP model on shelves, similar to the situation Nintendo created earlier this year with the DS Lite and DSi. For Sony, though, the model refresh won’t have anywhere near the impact in either sales or product innovation. Read on to find out just why this is the case.

The Wii!

A big milestone for the Nintendo Download this week. They reach their 300th game on the Virtual Console, which is great, but, the 300th game is one of significance. I’ll give you a hint: It’s A Zelda game. On the n64. Not Ocarina. Figure that one out. Also a bunch of other stuff you won’t pay for for. Hit the jump for pricing and descriptions.

Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits Track List Tells DSi to Suck It

Guitar Hero On Tour Modern Hits Screen

Activision dropped the full track list today for the upcoming DS title, Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits. If you have a DSi, you’re shit out of luck since there’s no GBA slot for the controller adapter.

There are some pretty cool tracks in the 28 that ship with the game, including Call to Arms by Angels & Airwaves, Falling Down by Atreyu, and Dashboard by Modest Mouse.

It’s a good thing I still have my DS Lite hanging around. My wife uses it for Tetris and Brain Age. I’ll have to steal that joint. Hit the jump for the full track list.
