In case you were hoping for a Devil May Cry 4 demo today, you’re going to have to wait. Capcom unleashed the official English website for the game where they dated the demo.
In the demo, you’ll get to play as Nero in “a variety of environments and a boss battle”. Sounds good to me. The demo will be released the same day for both the Xbox 360 and PS3. From the looks of it, it may be the same demo that has been playable at industry events for a long time now. Bring it on.
This might be the last trailer we see for DMC4. Is anyone else dying for some actual gameplay that is playable. The games looks awesome and we all know this, but the controls are what I am waiting for. DMC has not been on an Xbox yet so it will be nice to see how it feels. Until then, here you are.
Capcom sent out a press release to let us know that we can expect a demo for Devil May Cry 4 in early 2008 on both the Xbox 360 and PS3. I know a lot of you were hoping for the demo this month, but you’re going to have to be patient for a bit longer.
The demo introduces gamers to the gothic-inspired supernatural world of Devil May Cry 4, new protagonist Nero and the awesome power of his Devil Bringer. The demo consists of a sampling of sections from the full game, chosen to showcase Devil May Cry 4’s varied locales and allows gamers to familiarize themselves with Nero’s unique abilities. Players will receive instruction on the various new actions that the Devil Bringer bestows, such as the ability to slam creatures to the ground, cover great distances in a single bound or even grab enemies while on the ground or in the air and pull them towards Nero to continue the attack combo. The Exceed system allows Nero to “rev up” his sword as if it were a motorcycle throttle and unleash devastating attacks. Players will need to master all these techniques before the end of demo showdown with the mighty Berial.
The game will run at a full 60fps at 720p on both systems. Get ready to slay to demons here. While you’re waiting for this demo, why not go play through the first 3 titles on the PS2 to get yourself up to speed?

At Capcom’s Gamers Day, the company confirmed the release date for it’s upcoming smash hit Devil May Cry 4. The game will be hitting store shelves in February for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The highly anticipated Devil May Cry 4 immerses gamers in a gothic supernatural world, where a new protagonist clashes with series mainstay Dante. As new leading man Nero players will be able to unleash incredibly powerful and stylish attacks and non-stop combos using a combination of the Devil Bringer arm and the Exceed system, both of which are new gameplay mechanics for the series. Fans of Dante won’t be disappointed as he too will be playable during the course of the game.
I’m very much looking forward to this game. We’ve been teased for months with gameplay and cinematic trailers, and we’ll finally be able to get our hands on with the title and put in some time. Hopefully we’ll see a demo before release…
Capcom released the final boxart for Devil May Cry 4 for PS3 and Xbox 360 today. Looks pretty cool, but it doesn’t blow me away. It’s not going to stop me from playing the hell out of the game though
