Do you need to get into the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 mood before the game hits in March? Are you frustrated with Modern Warfare 2 getting you down with all of the bugs and glitches like Matt mentioned earlier this week? Let’s show those Infinity Ward bastards by NOT playing Modern Warfare 2 and get ready this week by purchasing Battlefield 1943 for 800 Microsoft points (1/2 off the normally 1600 point price tag).
If you haven’t heard about or played the game, where have you been? It happens to be a pretty decent online first-person shooter with graphics that might surprise you for a downloadable title. The game runs on the same Frostbite engine (both featured in Bad Company and Bad Company 2) and makes for a great experience with your friends. Each match is broken down into multiple classes (short range machine gunner, mid-range rifleman, and long range sniper) giving you an array of choices on how you play. Add in an assortment of vehicles like tanks, planes and bombing raids, and you’ve got a chaotic online experience. Like MAG or other big titles, everything that happens in the match is a product of an actual person doing it. That plane that just ran into your Jeep head on? Yep, that was a douchebag, but that was a person. Pick it up now on Xbox Live at the discounted price until February 22nd when this deal goes cold. Consider it a late Valentine’s Day gift to yourself.

Most of us out there are trying to save up all of our clams and change we find in the couch cushions trying to get our hands on this year’s biggest titles. $60 bucks for a brand new title is a big chunk of change to swallow for most gamers, so I bring a little breathing room for all of you guys and gals. This might just be what you Loot Ninja gamers need to hold you over until the mass hysteria of Black Friday and Christmas shopping.
GameFly is doing a $20 dollar and below blowout sale on a select list of pre-played games. This offer does include free shipping and handling, as well as the 100% GameFly guarantee that the games have been pre-inspected and come with the actual case and a “like new” manual. Read the list of games and more after the jump.

Okay, this post is for all you broke, penniless, spindle toting gamers like me who can barely afford to pay attention.
We here at Loot Ninja are all poor, working stiffs, thanks mostly to our wives and/or girlfriends spending all our money on useless random crap, like “furniture” and “the water bill”. This does not include Scuba, because he’s a fancy man and loves to sit naked on his imported Scandinavian furniture, while sipping expensive wine and nibbling cheese cubes.
Anyways, we will be bringing back the old “Broke Bastard Alerts”, and trying to polish that turd up a little more. We like to think of ourselves as the oil speculators of the gaming market. Rest assured, when the prices drop, we are ALL over it.
Here’s the deals for this go round.
- DLC titles Brain Challenge, Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting, and 3D Ultra MiniGolf Adventures are now available at 400 Microsoft Points each on XBLA.
- Amazon.com this week price cut Xbox Live Gold Card SKU’s by 20%, including the Xbox Live 3-month Gold Card at $15.99, and the Xbox Live 12-month Gold Card at $39.99
So get ‘em while the gettin’s good.
As usual, user submissions are welcome, so if you see a great deal on anything gaming related, send it our way and we’ll post it up.
