Review: Deadliest Catch – Alaskan Storm (Xbox 360)

The best thing to eat at the China Buffet is the King Crab legs. What makes them so delicious is not only the butter you dunk them in, but the sheer amount of energy it takes to get them. Deadliest Catch is a reality show on the Discovery Channel that depicts the lives of deep sea crab fisherman in the Bering Sea. (That’s the sea between Russia and Alaska). The reward is high, but the life is tough and death is an everyday actuality. I ventured into the Alaskan Storm and couldn’t get off the boat soon enough.

Deadliest Catch – Crabbing Gameplay

The Deadliest Catch game was released this week for Xbox 360 and PC. I’m a big fan of the show, but have been skeptical about how well crabbing translates to a video game. Our review copies will be here today, so we’ll have a review for you next week. In the meantime, check out a video of how crabbing in a video game really works.

Deadliest Catch Game Announced

What separates the lunch price from the dinner price at the Chinese Buffet. The fucking crab legs. Ever wonder how they get from the Alaskan Waters to the steam tray? Now, you can assume the role of the deep water crab fisherman. Anyone who has watched this show, and I think it is entertaining as all hell, might want to give this a look. Many of you are thinking, how can you make a game about trolling for crab? I have no idea, but I do have some interest here. This video is a crab boat Captain and he is telling us why he and his brothers are making this game. It’d be sweet being on a virtual boat with like 5 of your buddies slamming beers and video fishing. Check it out.
