Dark Sector Demo Released for Xbox 360

Dark Sector Screen 1

Nothing like waiting almost 3 months after you release the game to drop a demo. Most people have long since forgotten about Dark Sector after it’s late March release. We reviewed it a gave the game a 7.75. It’s fun, but gets repetitive and there is little replay value. Dark Sector has since seen a price drop for $39.95.

D3 Publisher sent out a press release that the demo is now available worldwide on the Xbox 360. However, a recent check of the Xbox Live Marketplace and said demo is nowhere to be found. Maybe there’s been a day in release, we’re not sure. Anyway, if you missed the game and want to try it 3 months after the fact, hit up the demo. Hopefully they give you the gaive, because anything less would be uncivilized.

Review: Dark Sector (Xbox 360)

Dark Sector Screen 1

Dark Sector has been a long time coming. What started out as a PS3 launch title is now available on both Sony’s console and the Xbox 360. You assume the role of Hayden Tenno, an elite black-ops agent sent to Lasria, a remote Eastern European country. Hayden is there to take down a former colleague and now enemy named Mezner, who has unleashed a bio-terrorist attack on Lasria that turns infected people into overpowered monsters. Sounds interesting, but does the game provide enough to keep you excited? Here is a breakdown of some of the facets of Dark Sector for the Xbox 360:

Presentation & Graphics: Dark Sector is a dark game. Are you surprised? The game is definitely pretty, though. Environments and characters are all highly detailed. Dismembering enemies looks fantastic with the glaive, which I’ll touch more on later. However, there are a few glaring issues with the game. There will be times when you’ll find some big graphical bugs. For example, you’ll find an enemy just floating in mid air and you can’t interact with them at all. A few other places you’ll see some clipping issues where enemies are stuck in walls or other areas. It’s these types of glitches, which are mainly found in the first half of the game, that take you away from the experience. 8 of 10

Dark Sector - Launch Trailer Premier

Another promising 3rd person action/shooter comes our way in Dark Sector. The game offers some great graphics and what appears to be some very intuitive game play. The concept of soldier getting demonic powers to take on the world is not exactly an original thought these days, but this game looks like it could be a sleeper. Check it out.

Dark Sector - Art of Violence Trailer

Dark Sector looks to be one of the most brutal games of late. The sci-fi action thriller, coming for both the PS3 and Xbox 360, is looking quite amazing, if not extremely bloody.

Check it out. It’s definitely on our radar.
