Bionic Commando: Rearmed - Japanese Trailer

Only in Japan can a simple commercial for a game appear like the second coming of Jesus Christ. Here is a quick look at the new XBLA and PSN title, Bionic Commando: Rearmed. I only wish I knew what they were saying. Maybe its like that South Park episode and they are saying “Protect my balls, Let’s fighting Love!”

Spy Hunter Making of Vid

Here is an interesting video that shows the making of the Pontiac G8/Spy Hunter commercial. Watch as the creators work on their driving skills on a driving simulator and polish up the final product into the great looking video game inspired commercial. There is also a mystery cat in the ceiling?

Battletanks Commercial N64

These older commercials really make me smile, just goes to show you the different angles that were taken back then to help promote video games. The Snuggle bear gets chased down by tanks, loses an ear, loses and arm and then gets set on fire, priceless. The end is great where the cuddly cute bear ahas track marks on him and is coughing up stuffing, why can’t we make commercials like this anymore?

Mike Tyson’s Punch Out Commercial

Iron Mike in his original game pimping it out and looking a bit crazy there at the end. Man beating Tyson in that game was a serious achievment, too bad they got rid of him in the game.

Hit the jump for the entire cast of the original Punch Out, Soda Popinski FTW.

Retro Vid - Donkey Kong Cereal

Sweet crunchy corn taste that comes from a monkey on your breakfast table, yum! I don’t even recall seeing this at the supermarket or on TV, but the commercial is golden. Barrels of fun for breakfast for the whole family, the cereal iteslf looks like a knockoff of Captain Crunch. Nintendo needs to make more game inspired cereals, I am thinking a Resident Evil cereal should go over well.

Retro Vid - Street Fighter II action figures

I had almost forgotten that the Street Fighter game had gotten official G.I. Joe toys, some with “real ninja moves”. They had even made vehicles that came with Championship edition characters with the different color variants from the game, which is really milking it. These were actual G.I. Joe figures too, I think I owned a few of them like Vega, E-Honda and Sagat. Take a trip down memory lane and bask in the glory of the sophisticated special effects in this commercial.

Saints Row 2 - Protect & Serve Vid

More street lessons with Uncle Gary for you to shake your head at, what can you say other than he is one funny lunatic, “the police are like the paparazzi you can’t have any fun without them showing up”. This is a pretty random clip, but yet very entertaining, I do have one question why is there a mime getting kicked in the junk?

You have to feel bad for Saints Row 2 living in the shadows of GTA, especially now that GTA IV has launched this game almost seems like a so what moment, aside from these funny commercials.

Mario Sunshine commercial ::warning:: may cause extreme rage

Something about this Mario Sunshine commercial form the 90’s is just so tooth decayingly cute that you want to go out and punch someone. Take a gander and let me know if you don’t share my feelings. Perhaps it is the song or the Kool Aid smiles or the guy dressed up as Mario? At leas the game itself was good on the Gamecube.

Japanese Mario Kart Wii Commercial

This commercial for Mario Kart can be hilarious if you make up your own dialogue for it. I am thinking once Giant Peach runs over the guy using Yoshi, he gets pissed and throws the racing wheel at her. Perhaps you guys can think of some funny lines to put into the video, many come to mind, mostly bad words and smack talk, too bad no smack talk will be had playing the game since there will be no online chat.

Ninja Gaiden DS Commercial

I have to say that this commercial is a bit on the lame side, especially for Ninja Gaiden standards. Maybe they are trying to make the game look less hardcore and bloody by portraying a ninja in Converse sneakers jumping all over the place? Worth a laugh, but I would stick to gameplay action over a kid doing back flips in a schoolyard.
