I hate when retailers offer different versions of games. The usual $60 game is fine for me. Then for like $20 more you get an art book and steel case. Great. Halo 3 gave us a helmet we couldn’t wear and Gears 2 gave us a huge plastic gun. MW2 is giving us… working Night Vision Goggles? Are they fo’ real? Watch this video. My guess is $150 for the Prestige Edition. We’ll get you a link as soon as we can. This was just announced last night.
Want to get all the hidden skulls in Halo Wars just like you did in Halo 3? Some astute gamers have come up with a big list (after the jump) detailing where you can find everything. If reading isn’t your thing, why not just watch the video below showing you where to find all the skulls?
You know you want this game when it drops next week. If you haven’t already, check out Max’s review of the game. He plays RTS games like they’re going out of style, so he definitely knows his shit in that respect.
One of the flagship titles for the PS3 finally has a release date. Resistance 2 is coming November 4th in the US. Good stuff. Even better stuff is what’s coming in the game’s Collectors Edition:
Created by DC Unlimited, an exclusive Chimeran Hybrid action figure with Bullseye weapon.
A double-sided hard-cover Resistance 2 art book covering war-torn America from two unique perspectives.
Copy of Resistance 2 with special edition cover artwork selected by the fans
A preview into the upcoming Resistance novel, “Resistance: The Gathering Storm” by well-known science fiction author William Dietz.
“America Forever Lost”, Behind The Scenes video of Resistance 2 with Insomniac Games
“Shattered History” Resistance chronology video — provides a visual guideline from the earliest days of the Chimera invasion to the current storyline.
Digital copy of Issue #0 of the Resistance comic book series published by Wildstorm.
A lot of really nice stuff there. However, it’s a $20 price bump as the CE will run you $79.99. If you’re down for this thing, jump all over it. I want the Chimera figure.

For those of us who are really into GTA, I mean really into it, can buy the collector sets to end all collector sets reports Take2Games. Here is what it includes:
The Grand Theft Auto IV Special Edition will be presented in a customized Grand Theft Auto metal safety deposit box. The box will contain:
Grand Theft Auto IV on the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system or the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, both with special packaging

Selected soundtrack CD from Grand Theft Auto IV, featuring new material from top artists, only available on this release
An exclusive Rockstar keychain for the safety deposit box keys

This Special Edition will cost $89.99. Not all that bad considering what Halo 3 is charging for that sweet Master Chief helmet you can’t wear or drink out of. The Special Edition, like the game will hit the shelves October 16th. Preorders should be available soon due to the fact this was announced today.
