Co-op is all the rage. We talked about it in this week’s Battle of Wits and Ghostbusters is looking to deliver. Separate from the single player campaign, you’ll be able to take the helm as one of the four Ghostbusters and team up to whoop ass on some big ghosts. I’m glad to see they went co-op and not competitive, since it just doesn’t make sense in this game. I’m also happy to see they made it separate from the story, since I think it’s going to kick ass.
I’ve taken virtual dumps on Call of Duty 5 in the past for going back to World War 2. We’ve been there and moved on with CoD4. But with the solid engine and added co-op gameplay, I might have to eat my words. World at War looks pretty solid. Check out this gameplay trailer from a co-op level called Subway. If you don’t know where the level is set, you’re dumb.
Saints Row 2 is getting a cool co-op mode. THQ made a virtual McCain and Obama for the video, too. I’m really liking the marketing campaign for this game. Anyway, you’ll get full drop-in/drop-out support and you can play the full campaign with a buddy. Good stuff.
Check out the developers from Silicon Knights talking all about the co-op features in their upcoming hack and slash game, Too Human. Seems like there’s some pretty cool features for playing with a friend, especially loot collecting, which we’re all fans of here (obviously).
The video is a little over 14 minutes long and it’s Friday afternoon, so go grab a beer and check it out.
So I set out last night with Scuba to beat the last level of Halo 3. Yeah, I know, it’s been out for a very long time and I hadn’t finished it. That is until last night.
We started at the beginning of level 9 (Halo) and played through past Rally Point Alpha, at which point my wireless connection dropped, kicking us back to the main menu. So we started back up from Rally Point Alpha. Bad idea. We proceeded to finish the game, watch all the cutscenes and credits, and no achievements pop up on my end. Turns out, you need to play the level from the beginning and finish it to get the credit.
So suffice it to say, I beat the game, but I don’t have credit for beating the game. Pretty ass-like if you ask me. I’ll go back and play level 9 again after I finish getting the skulls and terminals (5 terminals, 2 skulls to go). Sucks I have to play that whole final part again… it was long and pretty tough.
You can now expand your GRAW 2 experience by a shit ton with the new downloadable content. You will get 7 reimagined maps, 2 brand new ones, and 8 new achievements which total 125 gamerscore. 5 of these maps are also filled with the continuation of the story from the first collection and will add to the Co-op campaign aspect we all love to play. No price is listed yet, but will most likely cost ten to fifteen bucks due to the amount of usuable content. Hopefully on the ten side for the fact the game is a year old. If you missed out playing Halo 3 co-op with us earlier this week, you’ll have another chance tonight. We’re starting at 7:30pm ET at will be playing on Normal starting at Chapter 4. Myself and fierce Scuba will be there, maybe we’ll have bells on.
We got through the first 3 levels in an hour and a half last time, so expect the same amount or more.
If you’ve got the stones and think you can hang, leave a comment or send me a friend request on Xbox Live.

Do you have the skills to hang with the Loot Ninja crew? It’s a bit late notice, but myself and fierce Scuba will be playing Halo 3 co-op tonight on Xbox Live at 7:30pm ET.
We’re looking to another two players, so if you’re around tonight and want to join in the fray, leave a comment here with your gamertag and/or send me a friend request.
The plan is to play on Normal, starting in Chapter 2. We’ll probably get a few hours in, so get ready to kill some Brutes.
Ubisoft yesterday released a large add-on pack for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 for the Xbox 360. For 800 Microsoft Points, you get 5 new Co-op missions, 9 multiplayer maps (7 inspired from classic Ghost Recon maps), and 9 new Achievements for an extra 125 points.
The pack weighs in 930.32MB and is available everywhere except Japan. No word on a PS3 version yet.
Is anyone still playing GRAW2? I wonder how many copies of this pack they’ll actually sell.
