Club Nintendo Site Still Down

Don’t worry, it’s not just you.  Ever since Club Nintendo open the gates to North America there have been problems.  The inability to log in to the site coupled with surveys randomly logging users out, it’s no wonder they have taken the site down for maintenance.

It’s probably best that the site is down, at least for now.  Imagine all of those lucky gamers receiving Wii Fit this holiday season trying to log in and get their gold coins to no avail.  Nintendo’s support would be flooded with complaints galore!  Hopefully the bugs will be worked out by sometime next year and we can get back to registering games.  In the meantime go play the games, it’s more entertaining than registering them, trust me.

Club Nintendo Now Open for Business in North America

Japanese Nintendo fans have been able to earn Coins and collect goodies for their purchases, but now North American gamers can get in on the fun.

Once they become Club Nintendo members, Nintendo fans and former My Nintendo members can create a profile and register select Nintendo products on the site by inputting a product serial ID (a list of compatible products is posted on the site). The user is then asked to complete a survey about the product. Coins are awarded once surveys are complete. That’s when the fun begins. Some of the exclusive rewards include the Game & Watch™ Collection for the Nintendo DS™ and a set of traditional Hanafuda cards printed with Nintendo characters.

It doesn’t take much to join, just head on over to nintendo.com and sign up. Maybe you’ll get something good out of it.
