Nintendo released 18 screens for Wii Chess, being released in a couple weeks. The games looks very straight forward. For a game on a disc, I expected a bit more from Nintendo. This looks like it should be a download for Wii Ware.
Check out the last screen. Nintendo honestly released a screen showing an error code for connecting to the internet. Too funny.
Imagine playing chess with the wiimote? Hmm. Sounds like it could be pretty sweet. You will get the chance on January 18, 2008. I like having remotes do for me what I can easily do myself such as Knight to Rook 4. Playing chess over the Internet is nothing new, but I’m hoping they have some different themed pieces like Star Wars or Family Guy. I would love to take down Lois with Quagmire. Insert innuendo here.
I’m not quite sure what to make of this. When I think of chess, the last thing that crosses my mind on conjunction is hip hop music. The two disciplines just don’t match up. But alas, a new federation has been formed.
The 1st Annual Chess Kings Invitational will kick off with HHCF’s Life Strategies All-Star Panel. The Life Strategies panel will feature multi-platinum rappers RZA and GZA from the Wu-Tang Clan, chess icon Josh Waitzkin, turntable wizards DJ QBert and DJ Disk and other surprise guests in a discussion about how music, chess and martial arts have guided them in their paths to success.
Hey, whatever works and makes money. Is anyone else as confused about this as I am?
