Why I’ve Decided to NOT Buy Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 Screen

A lot of you weighed in on what version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 I should buy this year, and I took that all into account. I was ready to head down to my local Best Buy and pick up the game last night… until I saw all the DLC released for the game. Don’t get me wrong, I love when developers support their games with DLC. But releasing a new course for $7.50 and more cheat-codes-for-money than I can count? That’s not something I want to support.

It was a big deal before, and I spoke with my wallet by not buying those cheat codes for previous Tiger Woods games. This year, I’m speaking with my wallet even further. I refuse to buy the game. Charging gamers $3.75 to get Max Stats on their golfer or $1.99 for Expert Wedges (and Irons, Fairway Woods, Drivers, and Putters) is bullshit. They’ve turned it up a notch this year with how much and the amount of cheat codes you can buy.

If any of you feel the same way, I encourage you to not buy the game as well. Let your money do the talking and don’t give it to EA.

Street Fighter IV: How to Unlock Akuma and Gouken

Street Fighter 4 Screen 4

Gamers everywhere have been trying to unlock two of the hardest characters in SF IV. Unfortunately, the process is tricky and without the proper guidance you can waste a lot of time and throw a lot of expensive controllers.  Until now. Capcom has shown the way. Hit the jump for all the help you will need. Sonic Fucking Boom.

Editorial: Where’s My God Mode?!

I’ve been a fan of the first-person shooter since 1992 and id Software’s ever-popular Wolfenstein 3D (some would consider that a late start). And while any good FPS has a storyline that would be it’s own reward, there has always been that little extra something waiting for the patient gamer.

But as things on the ever-changing gamescape go about their natural course, I notice another disturbing trend emerging. And considering the focus that has been placed on online multiplayer and taken off the single player story, it makes people who really enjoy their single story experience with all the trimmings such as myself feel a little slighted. What I’m really trying to ask here is:

WHERE THE F**K IS MY GOD MODE?!!

Prince of Persia Skin Cheats

Here are some ways to get some PoP skin cheats.  The best one here is clearly the Altair skin. I have not figured out how to sync my Ubisoft account to XBL, but I’ll work on that. Here are some codes or prompts to play dress up.

The Prince of Persia Skin and Farrah Skin for Elika, both from The Sands of Time — Unlocked by entering the code “525858542″ in “Skins Manager” under “Extras”.

Jade’s Skin from Beyond Good And Evil — Unlocked by finishing the game once. Then activate it in “Skins Manager” under “Extras”.

Altair’s Costume from Assassin’s Creed — Unlocked by syncing your Ubisoft.com account (link goes to signup page) to your PlayStation Network or Xbox Live account. Then activate it in “Skins Manager” under “Extras”.

Classic Prince of Persia Skin — Received when pre-ordering the game from GameStop.

Prototype Prince and Elika Skins — Unlocked by collecting all 1,001 Light Seeds (the last one is in the Temple’s tree at the end of the game). Then activating them in “Skins Manager” under “Extras”. Note: Shadowmask mentions this is only unlockable in the PC

GTA IV Cheats

GTA IV

Don’t worry. We are not putting any spoilers up here. Here is a complete list of all the cheats you may want to use as you run amok through Liberty City. Now, you need to remember, these can and will disrupt game saves. You will not be able to get some achievements if you use some of the game saves, so do not save if you are going to fuck around. Enjoy.

Juno Soundtrack Has Konami Code

Konami Code

Everyone’s favorite cheat code is in the lyrics of a song on the Juno Soundtrack. “Anyone Else But You” by The Moldy Peaches contains the cool line:

Up up down down left right left right B A start
Just because we use cheats doesn’t mean we’re not smart

The song is performed by the two main characters at the end of the movie, but the Konami Code doesn’t make it into the movie, but does make the soundtrack. The movie’s pretty cool too, not just the one line from the soundtrack. Check if out if you haven’t seen it.

EA Sports Selling Cheats Again

Tiger Woods Screen

Another year, same story. Today on the Xbox Live Marketplace you can buy yourself a cheat to max out your golfer’s stats in Tiger Woods 08. The price, 200 Microsoft Points ($2.50).

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 Maxed Out Player (200 MS Points) – 8/31
Max out your original game face golfer’s skills. Save yourself the time of building up your golfer, and instantly set all skills to 110%!

Just like last year, I’m willing to bet this sells a bunch. Seriously, why as gamers do we let this stand? Everyone needs to speak up and tell EA that selling cheat codes isn’t going to fly.

TMNT Arcade Cheats – Level Select and 9 Lives [UPDATE]

turtles.jpgYou know how you will just remember somethings forever. You know like the first time you got drunk, first time arrested, first dance floor handjob, yeah those things. Apparently, the level select code for TMNT the arcade game is one of those.

At the title menu press B A B A up down B A left right B A start. For 2 player, just press select before start.  If the game is a true NES port, this will work. Let me know if it does. You should be rewarded with a screen that lets you select level as well as 9 lives to start the game.

If I can only forget that time I sat on my uncle’s lap…

[UPDATE] Turns out that the code does not work and I wasn’t molested.  FYI though, you do get unlimted lives in single player mode.  Here are the hit point damage values:

basic attack: 2pts

jump kick: 3 pts

special(jump and attack at same time) : 4 pts

These are confirmed from the people at Nintendo Power.  The guys at Loot-Ninja are always down for some four-way action. TMNT that is. Get your mind out of the gutter.
